Madonna Lands at LAX Sun, 17 February 2008
Madonna arrives at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Sunday with her three kids — Lourdes, 11, Rocco, 7, and David, 2 1/2.
The 49-year-old Queen of Pop is expected in a Malawi court April for a final hearing on David’s adoption. Adoption proceedings for David began in 2006 after meeting the boy in a local orphanage.
Madonna’s directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom, has so far been met with mixed reviews. It’s possible that the low-budget comedy will be made available first via download in the U.S. and U.K. and released theatrically elsewhere.
As for her upcoming still-yet-untitled album, Rolling Stone previewed five of its “more urban-oriented, thumpy funk” tracks. Here’s a sample of the review:
“The track that sounds most like a more urban, edgy continuation of Confessions is the excellent ‘Give It to Me,’ which bumps along to a thick synth tone Danja employed on Britney Spears’ Blackout. It’s an aggressive, clubby track with a raw, house-y beat that’s ripe for remixing, and Madonna sings, ‘When the lights go down and there’s no one left I can go on and on.’ It ends after a fast, killer breakdown where she chants ‘Get stupid’ over a xylophone chime as the beat builds into a frenzy and she proclaims, ‘Give it to me / No one’s gonna stop me now.’

David Banda in Da Big Apple Fri, 12 October 2007
David Banda, Madonna’s youngest son, goes for a ride in his stroller with his nanny in the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Friday afternoon.
Banda, 2, carried around a plastic water bottle and had a Thomas the Tank Engine bookbag attached to his stroller. Choo-choo!
From Rosie: “What movie did you and Madonna go to see?
her documentary
I AM BECAUSE WE ARE
which was devastating
and amazing”
From DrownedMadonna: “That title is from Desmond Tutu’s (famous Archbishop from Cape Town, South Africa) words.
‘Ubuntu,’ an idea present in African spirituality that says ‘I am because we are’ - or we are all connected, we cannot be ourselves without community, health and faith are always lived out among others, an individual’s well being is caught up in the well being of others.”

DADDY DAY CARE!
Director Guy Ritchie pulls on-set daddy duty on Thursday, taking care of his two sons Rocco, who turns 7 next month, and David, 21 months.
Ritchie has been busy in London filming his latest movie RocknRolla starring Gerard Butler. It’s a crime flick about London’s criminal underworld taking notice of a Russian mobster’s shady land deal and a scam that puts millions of dollars up for grabs. Out 2008. Madonna has also been in London filming her 30-minute comedy short Filth and Wisdom.

Madonna Blows Banda Kisses Wed, 16 May 2007
Madonna is visited on the set of her low-budget comedy short Filth and Wisdom in central London by her 18-month-old son David and his nanny.
(The cutest picture is of Madonna blowing David kisses. Most interesting picture is the script Madonna’s holding. Can’t really make out the text, though.)
Filth and Wisdom, based on her own life experience, is Madge’s directorial debut and is planned to run 30 minutes long.
Madonna will soon release a new Pharrell-produced song called “Hey You” for the Live Earth campaign. Downloads will be available this week from MSN.com. Madge will perform it live at the Wembley Live Earth concert on July 7.
Of note: Madonna is also rumored to be premiering her documentary of Malawi at Toronto’s International Film Festival this September.

Video footage was taken at the church-run orphanage, where children sang and recited lessons for the Queen of Pop and her two kids.
Back in the states, Madonna has helped for H&M push revenue up 17% and sales up 29% in the month. Shouldn’t other retailers be grabbing celebrity designers too?
