DJ AM’s death was an accidental drug overdose, according to the New York City medical examiner’s office.

The lethal cocktail of drugs in the 36-year-old included cocaine, oxycodone, hydrocodone (Vicodin), Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, Benadryl and Levamisole (a drug used to cut cocaine with).

AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, and Blink 182’s Travis Barker had been coping with being the only survivors of a small plane crash in South Carolina last September.

This is the video that was put together for DJ AM’s memorial service, which was held at The Paladium in Hollywood on Thursday (September 3).

The video was put together by AM’s pal Mike B. and the caption reads, “RIP to a great friend and the greatest DJ. Many thanks to Dan Terndrup who edited the piece and did an amazing job.”

DJ AM (real name Adam Goldstein) is laid to rest at a private funeral by friends and family — including Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and actor Scott Caan — at Hillside Memorial Park on Wednesday (September 2) in Culver City, Calif.

A memorial will also be held Thursday evening at L.A.’s Hollywood Palladium for AM, who died last week at the age of 36.

MTV released a statement, saying, “MTV was honored to support him as he helped young people battle their own addictions. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to his family.”

DJ AM, also known as Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his apartment in New York City at 5:20PM on Friday (August 28).

According to TMZ, DJ AM hadn’t been seen for a number of days and was only found when a friend went to go check on him.

DJ AM and Travis Barker both survived a plane crash last September 2008 in South Carolina where four other people in the plane died.

Plane crash survivor DJ AM, aka Adam Goldstein, has taken to his blog to clear up some rumors about the lawsuit he filed earlier this month. Here’s what the 35-year-old had to write:

“Normally I don’t feel like I NEED to make a statement like this, but after I read some recently reported untruths I feel like I have to. I want to take a second to address the hurtful posts and clear up any misunderstandings any of you may have about my law suit. I would NEVER sue the deceased pilots’ estates or personal holdings. I am more than grateful that I survived this horrible accident and I’d never try to take anything from those that didn’t. Despite the misinterpretations of the lawsuit, this suit is against the insurance companies that insured the pilots. I’m not after Sarah [Lemmon]’s or James [Bland]‘ personal estates nor their property. Everyone involved in this suit has suffered a great deal, and I would not do anything to make matters worse for the deceased family and friends. Daily I live with the guilt and grief of what happened that night, what I saw, who was lost and why I was spared. I have no words to express the pain that comes with knowing four people died, while I lived.”

“He really likes her and wants to start introducing her to more of his friends,” a friend of the celebrity deejay told The Post.

Earlier today, it was announced that DJ AM sued several companies and the estates of the plane’s pilots.

DJ AM, aka Adam Goldstein, filed a lawsuit on Tuesday over the fatal plane crash that killed four people and seriously injured him and Travis Barker in September.

The suit claims the plane negligently aborted takeoff in South Carolina, causing the plane to overrun the runway and crash into an embankment.

“The pilots were either poorly trained and/or failed to follow their training,” says the L.A. Superior Court lawsuit of pilots Sarah Lemmon, 31, and James Bland, 52, both killed in the crash. “Rather than proceed to takeoff, they decided to abort and/or reject the takeoff in a negligent manner.”

Travis and DJ AM are set to perform together at New Year’s Nation’s Los Angeles New Year’s Eve Party at the Lot in West Hollywood.

Plane crash survivor DJ AM provided the tunes and P.I.N.K. Vodka did the specialty cocktails as Paris partied with her boyfriend, Good Charlotte musician Benji Madden, and her younger sister, Nicky (with boyfriend David Katzenberg). Also in attendance: Speed Racer star Emile Hirsch and “I Wanna Be Bad” singer Willa Ford.
