Gossip Girl’s resident bad boy Ed Westwick got into a fight with fellow British actor Toby Hemingway at former boybander J.C. Chasez’s birthday party at the private Hollywood bar above El Guapo Cantina on Saturday night (August 8).

“Toby started choking Ed,” a source exclusively tells JustJared.com. “[Ed's co-star and former roommate] Chace Crawford had to pull them apart.”

Chace and Toby starred together in the 2006 horror flick, The Covenant.

Also in attendance: Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.

Calls to Ed’s rep were not immediately returned.

UPDATE: “There was no fight,” Ed’s rep tells Just Jared. “Ed and Toby are friends and have been talking since the party.”

Ed Westwick picks up his surfboard award for Choice TV Villain at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday afternoon (August 9) in Universal City, Calif.

The 21-year-old British actor, who wore a James Dean t-shirt, joined Kristen Bell in presenting the Choice Summer Movie award to Cameron Diaz, Sofia Vassilieva and Abigail Breslin for their work in My Sister’s Keeper.

Meanwhile, Ed’s girlfriend (and costar) Jessica, 24, spent the day at Tao Beach helping her brother Nick celebrate his 21st birthday.

Despite rumors of a break-up, Ed Westwick and co-star Jessica Szohr are still a real-life couple, sources confirm to JustJared.com.

Ed, 22, and Jessica, 24, were just spotted grabbing a late lunch at Rockit Bar & Grill in Chicago, Illinois on Friday afternoon (August 7).

On Tuesday, Jessica dined with former O.C. star Adam Brody.

Just last night in NYC, Ed was seen in a tux, shooting scenes with costar Taylor Momsen.

Blake Lively shows off her gorgeous gams as she and co-star Ed Westwick make their way to the set of Gossip Girl flanked by their bodyguards on Wednesday morning (August 5) in New York City.

Ed, 22, wore his support for one of his musical idols, Jimi Hendrix, who is considered to be “the greatest guitarist in the history of rock music.”

Blake, 21, wore Jimmy Choo’s “Eliza” patent sandal.

Blake Lively sure does get around!

The 21-year-old Gossip Girl actress was spotted kissing at least two different boys on the Upper West Side of New York City on Monday morning (July 27). Blake was seen kissing costar Sebastian Stan (also Leighton Meester’s real-life boyfriend) and her other costar Penn Badgley (also her real-life boyfriend). Lots of kissing going on!!!

Also spotted on set: Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester kissing and downing a bottle of vintage Dom Perignon champagne.

Blake Lively slips into another sexy hip-hugging dress while shooting a new scene with Gossip Girl costars Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick (both pictured below) in New York City on Wednesday morning (July 22).

Also spotted on set: Ed’s girlfriend Jessica Szohr, Chace Crawford and his new on-screen love interest Joanna Garcia.

Blake recently explained how she manages without a stylist. She told British Glamour, “Don’t be a slave to your style icon. Kate Moss wears 20s flapper dresses that look incredible on her, but terrible on me. I have boobs and a butt so I find dresses with a loose waist that still have a 20s feel. I also make sure I dress for my figure. I’ll wear a loose cardigan with a tight top underneath, or a slouchy dress with a little belt. Something has to look good on you, not just be in style.”

Ed Westwick and his girlfriend, fellow Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr, cozy up at M.A.C Cosmetics’ private artists’ studio tour on Wednesday (July 15) in New York City.

The event was held at at the studio of Richard Phillips (pictured below).

Ed used to shared a Chelsea apartment with another one of his costars, Chace Crawford. But earlier this week, Chace moved to a new apartment in the Financial District.
