Emma Watson and the class of 2013 attend freshman orientation at Brown University on Friday (September 4) in Providence, Rhode Island.

The day after, the 19-year-old British actress was seen grabbing Starbucks with friends and family. Her boyfriend Jay Barrymore has also been spotted on campus. In addition to her literature course load, Emma is taking a geology class this semester.

“I want to be normal,” the Harry Potter starlet has said. “I really want anonymity. I want to do [the college experience] properly, like everyone else. As long as I don’t walk in and see, like, Harry Potter posters everywhere, I’ll be fine.”

UPDATE: Emma did not fly onto the campus via helicopter as previously reported. Her rep tells JustJared.com, “She arrived by car as did everyone else. She has not nor will at any time travel to university by helicopter. ”

Emma Watson will be attending Brown University this fall, confirms Paste Magazine.

The 19-year-old British actress reveals, “I am [off] to Brown, which is an Ivy League establishment in the U.S.A. I’ve got a place there to read literature. I hope to do quite well with my A Levels and they’ve provisionally accepted me, so I’m off to study.” (Emma must have been interviewed awhile ago as she scored seven A’s and three A* at GCSE level.)

Originally, Emma wanted to keep her choice of college a secret but she must have changed her mind after costar Daniel Radcliffe spilled the beans.

Emma also admitted that her fellow students are going to recognize her. She shared, “That’s inevitable, I suppose, some of them must have seen the films over the years. But I do hope that it will be only a short time before I am known as ‘Emma Watson, the student from the U.K.’ rather than ‘Emma Watson who starred in those Harry Potter films.’”

Emma Watson goes shopping with her boyfriend, financier Jay Barrymore, at her local Waitrose grocery store in London on Wednesday (July 15).

The cute couple picked up a copy of British chef Jamie Oliver’s latest cookbook, “Jamie’s Ministry of Food.”

Emma, 19, has no plans to do her own fashion line. She tells WWD, “I’m not really interested in doing it for my own ego. I’m not a designer. If someone asked me to do something that was beneficial to a cause, then maybe I’d consider it, but not just [to be able to say] ‘Look at me! I’ve got my own line! [It’s] gotten so ridiculous. The idea of making my own perfume makes me want to vomit.”

Emma will be moving to the states to earn a degree at an Ivy League college. She’s rumored to attending Brown University. Does that mean Jay will be heading to the states this fall as well?

Emma Watson dons a sexy (but still cute!) Proenza Schouler ensemble at the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiere held at New York City’s Ziegfeld Theatre on Thursday (July 9).

On the red carpet, the 19-year-old British actress was sandwiched in between co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.

At Tuesday’s UK premiere, photographers caught Emma accidentally flashing her underwear while adjusting her dress.

“This was a small wardrobe malfunction, it happens,’ Emma explained to David Letterman Wednesday night. “At least I’m wearing underwear! I’m still learning, I’m still learning!”

This week’s Entertainment Weekly features the highly anticipated Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the film adapted from the sixth novel in J.K. Rowling’s seven-volume series, and speaks with the stars about Twilight, tossing their Hogwarts uniforms, and their careers.

Daniel Radcliffe knows exactly what he wants to do post-Harry. “I have come to the conclusion that I am never happier than when I am on a film set,” he says. “This is what I want to be doing. Totally. Absolutely. Unequivocally!”

For Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, their hardest scene was a kiss between their characters Ron and Hermione that shapes their destiny. “I remember being inches away from her lips and thinking, ‘Good lord, this is going to be strange,’” says Rupert. Adds Emma: “Rupert is like a brother to me, and our relationship couldn’t be more platonic. So kissing him – well, it felt like incest, to be honest. But I think it’s going to be very sweet.”

Emma Watson dons a cute polka dot dress as she tapes her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman at New York City’s Ed Sullivan theater on Wednesday (July 8).

Emma Watson and her soaking wet co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint arrive for the world premiere of Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince at London’s Empire Leicester Square on Tuesday (July 7).

Emma Watson will be attending The Ivy League college Brown University in Fall 2009, confirms her Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe.

He tells UK’s Guardian, “[Emma's] very clever. Do you know her GCSE results? (bulges eyes) I was thrilled with mine - seven Bs, two As and an A*. I think Emma got three As and seven A*s - she’s incredibly academic, it’s frightening. Me and Rupert [Grint] to all intents and purposes dropped out of school. And she’s going to Brown.” (FYI: A*s are like A+s.)

Emma hoped to keep her college choice a secret: “I just want to keep it private [my college choice] for as long as I can. I probably sound like a paranoid nut, but I’m doing this because I want to be normal. I really want anonymity. I want to do it properly, like everyone else. As long as I don’t walk in, and see, like, Harry Potter posters everywhere, I’ll be fine.”
