The 23-year-old The Phantom of the Opera actress recently joined Leonardo DiCaprio, Chace Crawford, Edward Norton, and Forest Whitaker for a Clean Energy, Jobs and American Power Act public service announcement.

The new bill, sponsored by the Natural Resources Defense Council Action Fund, promotes the creation of green-energy jobs and a cap-and-trade program.

Emmy Rossum gets her sugar fix with a Sugar Factory Couture Lollipop before appearing on the PIX Morning Show in New York City on November 4 (Wednesday).

The 23-year-old actress, who recently said that she and Adam Duritz met after Counting Crows dared her on Twitter to join them on tour, met up with JustJared.com on Thursday (November 12) at the opening of the Gap Concept Store in New York City’s Soho to chat about her new movie, Dare.

“It’s about three high schoolers in the last semester of high school and it’s kind of a love sex triangle,” Emmy, whose character’s a part of the triangle, shared.

As far as the Gossip Girl threesome episode and how Dare compares, Emmy said, “I saw the last episode. They’ve got nothin’ on us! That was just some innocent kissing!”

The 23-year-old actress and singer, who wore a gown by Jason Wu on the cover, shot a beautiful spread of photos and sat down to talk singing, her dogs and self-reflection…

On her love for singing: “As an actor, you learn about yourself and other people through the exploration of your characters, but it’s not entirely yourself. So it’s really beautiful and cathartic to have the ability to write your own songs and speak from your own heart about things that are important to you.”

On taking time off between projects: “I don’t work constantly. I think that can get you into a pattern going from set to set where you don’t have time for self reflection and to be a real person or enjoy life. And if you don’t enjoy your life and your friends, I don’t know how you can be an artist who’s at all effective or in touch with reality.”

On how she stays sane: “I play with my Yorkie and my Chihuahua. I also dance and try to take ballet every day.”

Emmy Rossum arrives at LAX after a flight with rumored boyfriend and Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz on Tuesday (November 3).

The 23-year-old actress, who rocked a Madewell scarf, a Pink Tartan cardigan and Express jeans on the flight home, had been in Savannah, Georgia promoting her new film, Dare, which hits theaters November 13.

Emmy tweeted that she loved the food down south: “BTW, forgot to mention, great dinner tonight in Savannah. I think I ate my body weight in grits.”

Emmy recently told JustJared.com about her Dare role, saying “My character’s name is Alexa and she’s kind of a type-A…wants to be an actress and will do anything it takes, gets involved with the jock in school kind of on a dare.”

FYI: Adam is wearing a University of California jacket, in support of the California Golden Bears. He was recently seen taking Emmy to cheer on the Bears at a recent football game.

Emmy Rossum steps out in head-to-toe Ferragamo at the GQ Gentlemen’s Ball in New York City on Wednesday (October 28).

The 23-year-old actress, who wore a black knit dress paired with pewter python stiletto pumps and a bronze leather minaudiere to the event, can be seen in Dare November 13.

“It’s a love triangle between two boys and a girl,” Emmy told JustJared.com. “Zach Gilford and me and Ashley Springer, Alan Cummings is in it, Sandra Bernhardt…it’s kind of like a dark, sexy comedy.”

Emmy and beau Adam Duritz of Counting Crows also attended Ivanka Trump’s wedding on Sunday.

Also wearing Ferragamo at the GQ Ball was Gossip Girl guest star Sebastian Stan, who plays Carter on the show and is Leighton Meester’s real-life boyfriend.

Emmy Rossum is opening up about her 45-year-old rumored boyfriend, Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz.

The 23-year-old actress tells People at the grand opening of of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C., “I get why chicks dig him. He’s extremely kind, incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, creative and respectful.” (He has dated former Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox.)

As for her dating status, Emmy would only reveal, “I don’t discuss my love life because it’s always misinterpreted or put under the microscope. It’s especially annoying when you’re dating someone else who’s well-known, which is why I normally would never go out with a famous guy… Let’s put it this way. I’d be flattered if someone hit on me tonight, but I really can’t say if I’m available or not.”

Last month, Emmy filed for divorce from her husband, music exec Justin Siegel.
