Emmy Rossum (in Donna Karan) attends Redbook’s 2007 Strength and Spirit Awards at NYC’s Hearst Tower on Monday.

Emmy, 21, was asked to perform at the awards show because another performer backed out at the last minute.

“It was a wonderful evening,” Emmy tells JustJared.com. “It really inspiring. I got to perform my single ‘Slow Me Down’ and also presented an award to Ashley Judd, with whom I work with for the charity YouthAIDS.”

Added Emmy, “I was so happy to present Ashley with an award as she does so much work for them. She travels to Africa and India and works directly with sex-workers and other victims of HIV/AIDS. It was a very inspirational evening. LeAnn Rimes, Dennis Leary and others were also honored for their courageous hands on charitable work.”

Emmy Rossum (in Marchesa) attends the celebration of the launch of the new book entitled “Style A To Zoe” by fashion stylist Rachel Zoe at the Cartier store on Wednesday in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Emmy, 21, also attended In Touch Weekly’s 5th Anniversary celebration in NYC last week (also in Marchesa).

Emmy Rossum (in Christian Dior) attends the The 2007 Skin Sense Awards presented by the Skin Cancer Foundation at The Pierre Hotel on Wednesday. The annual dinner honored select members in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and publishing industries for their role in helping to educate the public about the dangers of skin cancer and the importance of sun protection.

On Sunday, Emmy, 21, attended the 4th Annual Hollywood Style Awards at the Pacific Design Center in L.A. The aspiring pop star wore a Brian Reyes dress, Sergio Rossi shoes and D&G clutch.

Emmy will soon swap movies for music when her ambient pop album “Inside Out” is released later this month on October 23rd.

Emmy Rossum arrives at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Party at Hollywood hot spot Opera on Wednesday. The aspiring singer wore a brown sparkly hip-hugging Calvin Klein dress.

Emmy’s “Slow Me Down” music video was released this past Tuesday. Her ambient pop album “Inside Out” will be released next month on October 23rd.

The Emmy Rossum “Slow Me Down” Music Video was just released! It’s the first single off Emmy’s upcoming ambient pop album, out Oct. 23.

Emmy talked a little about the video at the Teen Choice Awards last month: “We were shooting a different speeds because the song’s about the pace of life and to create the blur of the world and how overwhelming that can be.”

Siegel works Artists and Repertoire (A&R), the division of a record label that is responsible for scouting and artist development, for Interscope Records, a division of Interscope-Geffen-A&M. (Geffen is Emmy’s music label. Her upcoming ambient pop album “Inside Out” drops October 23rd.)Justin’s father is supposedly a rich Greek tycoon. Siegel was last romantically involved with Kimberly Wyatt of the Pussycat Dolls (he reportedly dumped her for Emmy).
