There’s a new doctor at Seattle Grace! Shirtless swimming champ Michael Phelps shoves Grey’s Anatomy star Justin Chambers, aka Dr. Alex Karev, out of the way during a segment for late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s pre-Emmys special, Jimmy Kimmel’s Big Night of Stars.

Series regular Eric Dane, aka Dr. Mark Sloane, also made an appearance in the Grey’s scenes with Phelps. Watch the video below!

The 2-hour premiere of the REAL Grey’s Anatomy airs this Thursday, Sept. 25 @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC. Lots and lots of drama ahead, as usual!

Eric Dane, aka Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan, whips out the big guns while filming his hit ABC drama, Grey’s Anatomy, in Los Angeles on Monday morning.

In between flexing his bulging biceps, the 35-year-old actor shot scenes with costars Katherine Heigl, Patrick Dempsey and Brooke Smith.

As reported last month, former Journeyman star Kevin McKidd, 34, will play join Grey’s Anatomy as a doctor who arrives at Seattle Grace after a stint in Iraq.

The Seattle Grace doctors return in a two-hour premiere on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 9PM ET/PT on ABC.

Dane, who stars as Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloane on Grey’s Anatomy, has recently addressed his marriage to Gayheart: “It is great. I don’t know how I got so lucky.” And apparently, the two of them are “working on” kids. Lots of… Private Practice.

Eric, 35, and Rebecca, 36, were recently among the 68 friends and family at Charlie Sheen’s wedding last month. The couple first introduced Charlie to his real estate investor wife Brooke Mueller in 2006.

Eric Dane shows off his newly shorn look after working up a sweat at the gym in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old Grey’s Anatomy hunk recently returned from New York, where he was spotted dining at the super chic Japanese restaurant Morimoto with wife Rebecca Gayheart and ER star John Stamos, who was sporting a black eye.

“[He] got the black eye from a kick-boxing accident,” a rep for the star tells the The Post.

The two-hour season finale of Grey’s Anatomy airs this Thursday, May 22 @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC.

Marley and Me is based on an autobiographical book by American journalist John Grogan. Told in first-person narrative, the book portrays Grogan and his family’s life during the thirteen years that they lived with their Labrador Retriever, Marley, and the relationships and lessons from this period.

Eric, 35, was recently asked what his 36-year-old wife thinks about the “McSteamy” nickname and said, “She thinks it’s funny, she’s a huge fan of the show and gets a kick out of it!” He added, ‘‘It (nickname) doesn’t suck. I don’t mind it, it changed my life. I haven’t seen the downside to this nickname yet. McSteamy has been good to me so far.”

But like many actors, Dane wants people to love him for his mind! ‘‘But if they (audience) look just a little bit north of my chest and they actually see I can act, that’s a plus!”

Grey’s Anatomy hunk Eric Dane, aka Dr. Mark “McStreamy” Sloan, stays in shape with an intense workout in Los Angeles on Friday.

The 35-year-old actor worked out for around an hour at Hollywood Gym. Dane focused mainly on chest exercises to maintain his now famous pecs.

Grey’s costar Patrick Dempsey admitted he had “pec envy”, saying McSteamy was in “perfect shape.”

Dane obviously worked up an appetite, as he then grabbed a bite to eat at ‘Quality’ Cafe on 3rd Street.

Favorite line from last night’s Grey’s episode: “Intestine in the hands! Intestine in the hands!”
