Evan Rachel Wood is glorious in a wonderfully deconstructed two-toned Lanvin dress at the photocall for her new movie, The Wrestler, at the Piazzale del Casino during the 2008 Venice Film Festival on Friday in Venice, Italy.

The 20-year-old actress plays estranged daughter Stephanie to Randy “Ram” Robinson (Mickey Rourke), a retired professional wrestler.

The Wrestler is directed by Darren Aronofsky (Rachel Weisz’s husband) and doesn’t have a release date yet. You can buy tickets to see The Wrestler at TIFF08.ca.

But it looks like the characters of Evan Rachel Wood and Larry David (Seinfeld’s creator) go on a date in their new untitled movie from Woody Allen. Gotta play up the younger chick with older man dynamic as much as possible!

Evan, 20, and Larry, 60, were both dressed in funky outfits as they munched on knishes from the famous Yonah Schimmel Knishery.

The pair shot their scenes on Manhattan’s Lower East Side of Manhattan on Tuesday.

Woody Allen is directing it and details are under wraps. It’s temporarily called “Woody Allen’s Summer Project”.

The film also stars Patricia Clarkson, Ed Begley Jr. and Larry David. The Tudors’ Henry Cavill is also rumored to be part of the cast.

Evan Rachel Wood looks exquisitely styled at the screening of her latest movie, The Life Before Her Eyes at the IFC Center in New York City on Tuesday.

Here’s a synopsis of the drama thriller via Wiki: Imaginative, impetuous and wild Diana (Wood) can’t wait for her adult life to begin. Whiling away the final days of high school in the lush springtime, Diana tests her limits with sex and drugs as her more conservative friend Maureen (Eva Amurri) watches with concern. But Diana’s aura of invincibility is shattered when a senseless act of violence erupts at school, forever changing the lives of the two best friends. Fifteen years later, a grown Diana (Uma Thurman) is still trying to come to terms with the traumatic events of that fateful day.

“I really like the film a lot,” Evan tells The LA Times. “It was a really strange but cool script. And I was curious to see if they could pull it off going back and forth between me and Uma — if people would get annoyed by it or get confused. But it flows really well. And it’s shot beautifully.”

The Life Before Her Eyes opens in limited release Friday.

Evan Rachel Wood keeps the white gloves on at a special screening of her new musical romance Across The Universe on Thursday at NYC’s Chelsea West Theater. The film opens in theaters nationwide next Friday, Sept 21. Boyfriend Marilyn Manson waited on the sidelines during the screening.

Recently Evan talked about paparazzi being on her trail all the time: “I don’t buy it when people say it [being harassed by photographers] is not their fault, because there is a way to control it. My taste of celebrity has convinced me that I wasn’t built for it. Maybe it was the way I was brought up, but it is really terrifying for me when a bunch of people are staring at me or chasing me. Just the other night, people were jumping on the car and banging on the windows. I don’t think people can imagine how scary that is. It is like a strange dream. It becomes animalistic to me, and that is creepy. I try my best to stay out of it. It was never why I became an actress at all. It was not what I was raised for, and it is not for me.”

Evan Rachel Wood (sans inspiration Marilyn Manson) arrives at the world premiere screening of In Bloom during the Toronto International Film Festival 2007 held at the Varsity 8 Theatre on Saturday.

In Bloom tells the story of a woman’s survivor guilt from a Columbine-like event twenty years ago, which causes her idyllic present-day life to fall apart.
In the film, Uma Thurman, 37, plays the lead character Diana. Wood, 20, plays the younger version of her.

On singing a Manson song in front of Manson: “We actually just went karaoking in New York. And you haven’t karaoked until you’ve karaoked with me. Everyone’s like, ‘Aw, no, I don’t wanna go.’ So they drag their feed, but the second they get there… [smiles] So Manson and I sang ‘Don’t Stop Believe’ and ‘Born to Run.’ But in the middle of the night, I looked at him and said, ‘I’m gonna sing one of your songs.’ And I Was just threatening as a joke, but then I saw ‘Lunchbox’ in the karaoke book. I don’t think he thought I knew the song… so I went up and just screamed it and sat it, sat back down, and he looked at me and said, ‘I’m so in love with you. You have no idea.’ It was really awesome.”

On her future career in music: “I’d love to [make an album] but I’ve just never met people who didn’t want to turn me into some pop diva.”

On being mature at a young age: “I’ve grown up in an adult world, so I’m mature. But at the same time, I can’t deny my actual age.”

On Manson being her inspiration: “We really inspired each other. I’ve been kind of shy about anything I did on my own, what I wrote or any songs that I made. I never let anybody read them or hear them, but he’s definitely made me feel comfortable enough to come out of my shell. I’ve been writing, getting really into photography now. Marilyn Manson plants an affectionate kiss on his girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood’s cheek, as they ride as escalator to catch a train on the Eurostar at the North Station in Paris, France on Friday.

The 38-year-old shock rocker recently told Metro that his 19-year-old girlfriend actress is the mature one in their relationship.

“With meeting Evan Rachel Wood, who is my girlfriend now, we wouldn’t have been expected to have anything in common until we just became friends,” he said. “I realized that besides the fact I’m clearly the immature one in the relationship, she’s a twin in a lot of ways and her personality reflects a lot of things I felt I wasn’t supposed to be.”
