Ewan McGregor braves the rain on set of his upcoming TV show, The Corrections, on Monday (February 6) in New York City.

The 40-year-old Scottish actor got soaked in the fake rainstorm while filming scenes with co-stars Chris Cooper and Dianne Wiest.

The Corrections, which will debut next year on HBO, is based on the 2001 novel of the same name by American author Jonathan Franzen.

The project tells the story of three generations of a dysfunctional Midwestern family that meet at their family home for what will be their last Christmas gathering.

Madonna looks stunning at the premiere of her film W.E. held at the Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (January 23) in New York City.

The 53-year-old director of the movie posed on the red carpet with actors Andrea Riseborough and James D’Arcy.

“Well, the Oscars, the nominations are coming out tomorrow, and fingers crossed, I hope my movie gets nominated for something,” Madonna told MTV on the red carpet. “I would be really grateful if it did, but if it doesn’t, I got the Super Bowl — keep on going,” she added.

Madonna brought along daughter Lourdes and beau Brahim Zaibat to the screening. At the beginning of the screening, Madonna thanked her mother, who has passed away, and got emotional.

Also pictured inside from the Cinema Society & Forevermark‘s premiere, where guest grabbed a Vita Coco water on the way inside: Ewan McGregor, Irina Shayk, and Julia Stiles with boyfriend David Harbour.

Ewan McGregor takes the cover of Menswear magazine’s January 2012 issue.

Here is what the 40-year-old Haywire actor (in a Levi’s jacket) had to share with the mag:

On giving up drinking over a decade ago: “It was effortless, because it was the only thing I was prepared to give up. I wasn’t prepared to give up my career or my child — I wasn’t about to lose my children…11 years. Easy-peasy.”

On his taste in films: “I hate scripts that read like other movies….That’s why I’ve never really nailed the Hollywood ‘hard man’ role, because I don’t really believe it. I don’t know guys who have great exit lines every time they leave the room.”

On keeping his kids out of the spotlight: “I’ve tried very hard to keep them out of the way, because it’s nothing to do with anybody, and it’s not fair on them. We have a group of friends where some are in the business, some are not in the business — and all walks of the business: a lawyer, a writer, a director we know — and their kids and our kids are all friends. It’s not some kind of showbiz party around our house on the weekends. It’s far from it. It’s like real life.”

Blake Lively sparkles in Dolce&Gabbana at a screening for the new movie Haywire on Wednesday (January 18) at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in NYC.

Also walking the black carpet at The Cinema Society and BlackBerry Bold-hosted event: The Hunger Games‘ Elizabeth Banks and Haywire co-stars Ewan McGregor and Gina Carano with director Steven Soderbergh.

The action thriller centers around “a black ops super soldier [who] seeks payback after she is betrayed and set up during a mission.”

Haywire, which also stars Channing Tatum, Michael Angarano, and Michael Douglas, hits theaters this Friday (January 20)!

Ewan McGregor and his wife, Eve Mavrakis, hit the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 15) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 40-year-old Scottish actor is a presenter at tonight’s ceremony!

Ewan will hit the big screen opposite Emily Blunt in the upcoming British comedy Salmon Fishing in The Yemen, which is scheduled to be released in early March!

The 2012 Golden Globes airs live TONIGHT at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on NBC. Ricky Gervais hosts for the third time!

Adam Levine, Zachary Levi, and Ewan McGregor walk the red carpet at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Wednesday (January 11) in Los Angeles.

During the show, Adam and his band Maroon 5 picked up the award for Favorite Band. They beat out Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Zachary hit the stage with Ashley Greene to present the award for Favorite Drama Movie to Robert Pattinson‘s Water For Elephants.

Ewan made an appearance to honor Morgan Freeman with the Favorite Movie Icon award.
