Fergie is the new covergirl for Paper Magazine’s November 2006 issue. Here are some choice excerpts from the interview:

• On the importance of showing off her sensitive side: “It’s an important thing for people to see more of the little-girl side because that’s a part they don’t get to see with the Black Eyed Peas. They’re both who I am. I’m a strong woman. I’m also romantic. I’m very intimate. There’s the left-brain side of me as well as the right-brain.”
• On after being caught up on fame, drugs, and bling: “I had to move back to my mom’s at age 26, had collection agents after me, had to take out my trust fund and pay off my credit card debt, and lived on unemployment because I spent all my child-star money.”
• On taking crystal meth: “I was unhappy and I didn’t know how to deal with that. So I searched for other creative outlets. It was great for a while — you look good for a while — but if you continue, you’re going to notice things in your life start to disintegrate. That happened to me, but luckily, by the grace of God, I came out of that.
• On partying all night long: “I love to go out and have a good time. I love to go to clubs and go out dancing. I love to hit Bungalow 8, it’s my guilty pleasure. I love Amy Sacco. I love going out with the Heatherettes. I used to go out every night except Sunday. [pauses] Yes, the day of rest.”

• Sources say Brooke Shields has been invited to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding this weekend and plans to attend the event.
• Michael Jackson will sing “We Are The World” at the World Music Awards in London tonight.
• America’s Next Top Model winner Eva Pigford is changing her last name to her middle name, Marcille. The model, who recently dumped co-managers Tyra Banks and Benny Medina, will make the official announcement Friday.
• Nicole Richie has told producers of The Simple Life that she’s ready to work on the reality show. Production was scheduled to begin last week, but was halted after Nicole entered a treatment facility. Here’s her recent blog entry addressing some rumors:
  

  It just doesnt stop… So i gain a little bit of weight, and im acussed of having a gastric bypass surgery reversed? Its pathetic of Page Six to insinuate i have done this. Anyone that knows anything about this surgery would know that legally, you must be AT LEAST 100 pounds overweight to even have the surgery done, and is a serious, life changing procedure; not one to throw around as a joke or a rumor. • Leonardo DiCaprio is creating a reality TV show that will follow an American town as they get an eco-friendly makeover. DiCaprio will be credited as co-creator and executive producer of the show.
• Rapper Fabolous is in stable condition after being shot early Tuesday, police said. The rapper, whose legal name is John Jackson, was shot once in the thigh when a male with a gun approached him at a Manhattan parking garage, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Wysokowski said.
• Salma Hayek will make a guest appearance on “Ugly Betty” during sweeps on Nov. 2.
• Veronica Mars executive producer Diane Ruggiero will create a one-hour action-comedy described as “Sex and the City” meets “Batman” for The CW.
• Longtime enemies Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan arrived together arm-in-arm to Michelle Trachtenberg’s 21st birthday party at Tao Las Vegas this weekend. After the party, the two had a sleepover at the $25,000 a night Sky Villa.
• The population of the United States has reached 300+ million!!
