Gavin DeGraw is speaking out for the first time since his brutal attack in NYC.

“Hi my friends. Honestly, I don’t remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys,” the 34-year-old singer tweeted.

Gavin was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday (August 8), a day after he was attacked by a group of thugs and then struck by a taxi while he stumbled off.

His rep told Us Weekly that Gavin won’t be performing at his two scheduled shows this weekend. He has also canceled his Wednesday appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly.

We hope Gavin makes a quick and full recovery!

Gavin DeGraw is recovering in a NYC hospital after he was assaulted early Monday morning (August 8), according to his reps.

The 34-year-old singer was “beaten by a pack of thugs” around 4:30 a.m. in Manhattan and then hit by a taxi as he stumbled away, according to the NY Post.

Gavin “was taken to the emergency room at Bellevue Hospital by ambulance. He is currently under observation,” his reps said in a statement.

Police sources said Gavin, who has been on tour with Train and Maroon 5, suffered a broken nose and cuts on his face.

“We’re very excited about our summer tour,” frontman Adam Levine said. “Tickets go on sale for the fan club April 26…and for the rest of the country, April 29 and 30. We’ll see you there!”

Gavin DeGraw will serve as the opening act for the first leg of the tour, while Matt Nathanson will open for the tour’s second leg.

Alexis Bledel celebrates the opening night party for new Wired store, Wired mag’s fifth annual marquee gallery-meets-retail experience.

The store features a creative collaboration with singer Moby, which includes a one-of-a-kind interactive mural he designed (he also performed a special DJ set at the party).

Other celebs spotted at the party: Sex and the City star Chris Noth, singer Gavin DeGraw and movie critic Ben Lyons.

Gavin DeGraw performs his song “Free,” off of his latest album Free, at his and brother Joey’s bar National Underground in New York City on Monday night (November 23).

Every Monday night, the 32-year-old singer’s band performs at the bar, which arguably has the best burgers in town. Last night, Gav joined the band on stage for a two-song set surprise performance.

Gav is currently working on his fourth album, due out early summer.
