Gerard Butler steps out in a leather Ferragamo jacket as he lunches with his mother, stepfather and a mystery girl on Wednesday (March 17) in Soho, New York City.

At the premiere for The Bounty Hunter, the 40-year-old actor tried to explain the good relationship to Jennifer Aniston. “You know, that’s a hard one to explain,” he told MTV News. “Who knows why? You either just have chemistry or you don’t.”

“I’m like a fun-loving, energetic guy, and she’s boisterous,” Gerry explained. “She’s got a lovely personality, and there’s this action-packed, fun script. We’re always going to, I think, have a good chemistry.”

Gerard Butler celebrates St. Patrick’s Day by wearing a giant green leprechaun hat while promoting his new movie, The Bounty Hunter, in New York City on Wednesday morning (March 17).

When asked to describe his perfect date, the 40-year-old actor shared on Good Morning America, “I have a weird ideal first date. It’s either going to be something crazy like you end up jumping on a helicopter and going somewhere mad. Not necessarily a beautiful desert island. A soccer game or something fun! Or simply just walking… New York City is the best place to go on a date… until they invented paparazzi. It’s a little more difficult now.” Watch his appearance below!

Last night after the premiere of their new movie, Gerry and co-star Jennifer Aniston were seen sharing a private booth together at Tao nightclub.

Gerard Butler gives fans two thumbs up as he stands outside The Late Show with David Letterman before taping an appearance on Monday (March 15).

The 40-year-old Scottish actor’s segment on the show will air this Wednesday (March 17)! Gerry’s Bounty Hunter co-star, Jennifer Aniston, will be the guest on tonight’s Late Show.

Tomorrow, Gerry and Jen will be premiering their film at the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC - if you’re in town, you can try to catch a glimpse of them on West 54th Street near 6th Avenue!

On judging himself: “I appreciate the cosmic beauty of everything that’s happened. But do I spend a lot of time judging myself? Absolutely.”

On relationships: “In the last five years since coming out here, I’ve had two relationships. I’m not a big relationship guy. One of my vices is, I’m too wrapped up in myself and not always in a good way. It’s not like I walk around going, ‘Hey, I’m amazing; I’m Gerry Butler!’ But I am too caught up in my own s—, good and bad.”

Jennifer Aniston catches a departing flight out of London’s Heathrow airport on Friday (March 12).

Last night, the 41-year-old actress premiered her new movie, The Bounty Hunter, with co-star Gerard Butler.

“I literally became a member of her family,” Gerry told People. “I [even] went down for her birthday in Mexico. Of course, everyone takes that as something else, but we are very good friends.”

Aniston reciprocated with positive comments about Gerry: “He’s funny and handsome – [a] nice combo!”

FYI: Jen wore her fave custom Burberry leather jacket.

Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler are both spotted leaving St. Martin’s Lane Hotel on Thursday night (March 11) in London, UK.

Gerard, 40, is on the cover of the April issue of Men’s Journal. He said, “I think I get laid less now than I used to, because I’m way more paranoid now - look at f—ing Tiger Woods! I mean, I’m nowhere near as naughty as I used to be, partly because I did a lot of that when I was drinking.”

Gerry also admitted to some commitment problems on his part. “In the last five years since coming out here, I’ve had two relationships. I’m not a big relationship guy. One of my vices is, I’m too wrapped up in myself and not always in a good way,” he confessed.
