Scottish stud muffin Gerard Butler has launched his very own production company called Evil Twins with his longtime manager, Alan Siegel.

“We’re thrilled at the opportunity that Gerry’s career has given us to make our own films,” Siegel said.

Variety reports Gerard, 38, has his hands on a project already–a psychological thriller called Law Abiding Citizen.

Gerry will star as a successful assistant D.A. who finds himself at the center of a vigilante plot hatched by a traumatized victim of the legal system.

FYI: Mr. Butler is one smart cookie–he graduated from Glasgow University Law School.

The 38-year-old Scottish stud can next be seen in Nim’s Island, which hits theaters on Friday, April 4th.

It was recently announced that Gerry will be starring alongside Katherine Heigl in the romantic comedy The Ugly Truth, out 2009.

Synopsis: A cute but chauvinistic on-air TV stud (Butler) enlists his perfect-but-somehow-still-single producer (Heigl) to jump through hoops in the real dating world, thus hopefully proving all his theories about love are right on.

Scottish hunk Gerard Butler and a female friend catch dinner at Vanity Fair supremo Graydon Carter’s restaurant Waverly Inn in NYC’s West Village Thursday night.

Gerard’s romantic comedy P.S. I Love You costarring Hilary Swank opens in theaters nationwide today! Sadly, it was received a paltry 15% from RottenTomatoes with critics calling the movie a “romantic cliche,” having an “uninspired romantic formula” and simply put, “blithely inept.”

Sounds like you should skip this one and save your money. Go see Juno if you haven’t already!

In the new WB action flick, Gerard Butler stars One Two, a mobster with street smarts. Thandie Newton plays the sexy Stella, an accountant who is One Two’s love interest.

Looks like Mr. Butler likes what he sees!

RocknRolla, out in 2008, is directed by Madonna’s husband, Guy Ritchie, and also stars Tom Wilkinson, Jeremy Piven and Ludacris.
