Current boytoy/football player Tom Brady is getting set for the opening of the NFL football season next month. Tommy-boy has slowly been recovering from his ankle injury from last years and was spotted today at Gillette Stadium throwing to receivers without a brace.

Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bundchen is featured in the Fall 2008 issue of V Magazine, as captured by renowned photographer Mario Testino. (She shot this cover back in April.)

In her interview, Gisele, who turns 28 on Sunday, speaks frankly about her decade-long modeling career, as well as her outlook on fashion, the paparazzi and the environment. Check it out:

On her skin-baring images: “Only Mario [Testino] could make me take these pictures…. People are going to say my butt is showing too much in these but this is V Magazine! If you’re going to do something like that, you do it for V.”

On 15-year-old Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair wearing just a sheet and being on every news show: Can you believe this is news? It’s ridiculous. And the politicians aren’t going to create any laws about this [kind of media saturation]. They’re very happy with it. They can go around doing what they want and no one cares because we’re more concerned about some 15-year-old girl holding a sheet in a picture. No one cares about what [the politicians are] screwing up, or how much money is being lost.

On what she’s more compassionate about: “The destruction of our planet.”

On her role in the fashion world: “I work in fashion but I’m not really a fashion person. I don’t follow trends. I couldn’t tell you which designer made that shoe or that bag. I like jeans.”

The Philadelphia Weekly has a little news bit on Gisele: In April, basketball star LeBron James became the first black man to appear on the cover of Vogue [alongside Gisele]. The mag is still dealing with backlash from that. Granted, that may be difficult in all the romper/playsuit things that are wreaking havoc on style. In related news, Italian Vogue will feature almost exclusively black models in their July mag. Nice to see some attempt at parity, but it sucks that women of color are still ghettoized into their own issue.”

Gisele Bundchen lands at LAX aiport in Los Angeles on Tuesday after walking the runway in Sao Paulo for Fashion Week.

The 27-year-old model began modeling at age 14 in Brazil and returned after 6 years of missing Fashion Week.

“I’m not doing any parades out of Brazil any longer. I only do certain parades, for example, Dior’s, my friend John (Galliano) completed ten years of Dior. I think that my coming back to Brazil, is also a way to bring international attention back to Sao Paulo Fashion Week,” said Gisele.

It’s been six years since the 27-year-old model walked the runways at Sao Paulo fashion week and the return of Gisele definitely brought interest to the event. Ms. Bundchen modeled for the Brazilian label Colcci.

The SP fashion week was also supposed to include British supermodel Naomi Campbell, however her conviction last week for assaulting police officers put a wrench into the plans.

Tom Brady is packing up his Boston bags and moving to Los Angeles, reports The Boston Herald.

The 30-year-old New England Patriots QB is looking to build a home in Cali so that he can be closer to his look-alike son, John Edward Thomas, 10 months.

Does that mean Tom’s glamazon galpal Gisele Bundchen will be relocating to the West Coast as well??
