The day after, the 37-year-old actress presented basketball legend Dikembe Mutombo with the prestigious Sport for Good Award during the Laureus World Sports Awards 2010 at Emirates Palace Hotel on in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

“It feels great to receive such a prestigious award from such a distinguished group of former athletes who recognize the difference you’ve made and your service to the community,” said Dikembe. “This is as big as it gets. I’m happy that my foundation is being recognized. This gives me more courage to continue to do what I do.”

Gwyneth Paltrow hits the red carpet at the Laureus World Sports Awards at Emirates Palace Hotel on Wednesday (March 10) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The 37-year-old actress looked regal in a nude one-shoulder fully hand embroidered gown from Elie Saab.

The Laureus World Sports Awards celebrate the best and brightest in sports throught the year. The winners are chosen by an academy of 46 of the greatest sportsmen and women of all time, according to the Laureus website.

Gwyneth Paltrow hides from the bright flashes as she departs Heathrow Airport on Wednesday (March 9) in London, England.

The 37-year-old actress encouraged all of her readers to get some more sleep for the benefit of their bodies in her latest GOOP newsletter. “Basically everyone I know is knackered, me included. But I didn’t imagine that there could be health problems associated with not getting a good night’s rest,” Gwyn said.

“I recently read a book called Light’s Out: Sleep, Sugar and Survival by T.S. Wiley which talks about the negative cumulative effects of sleep deprivation (aging, hormonal imbalances, etc.) I asked one of my doctors, Frank Lipman, for his opinion on the subject and the result is the fascinating piece below, followed by some suggestions on ways to sleep better.”

Gwyneth Paltrow and her daughter Apple go shopping together at the Miracle Mile shopping district in Americana Manhasset on Wednesday (March 3).

The mother-daughter pair got in some quality bonding time, lunching at Toku-Modern Asian and spending three hours inside the Hirshleifer’s store. Four salespeople were seen bringing things to the private back room for Gwyn so that she could shop in privacy.

FYI: Gwyneth, who toted around a Burberry handbag, wore super chic alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet Denim Front Zip Leggings, hip ankle boots and motorcycle jacket.

Gwyneth Paltrow arrives at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) after a long flight coming from London on Friday (January 8).

While in London, the 37-year-old actress got into a minor car accident on the icy roads.

In her latest GOOP newsletter, Gwyneth wrote about and interviewed Doug Evans and Denise Mari, co-founders of New York City’s Organic Avenue. “I discovered Organic Avenue a few years ago through a girlfriend who was about to do one of their fasts, and I joined her on the 5 day program,” Gwyneth said. “The result was pretty amazing and the juices and smoothies (esp. the coconut mylk and the cacao smoothie) were so delicious that I imbibe them whenever I’m in NYC. They make a cleanse easy with different degrees of gnarlyness and home delivery if you are in Manhattan. If you aren’t, like me, Denise Mari, the juice guru has given us some recipes for a DIY fast.”

Gwyneth Paltrow and another driver get into a fender bender on an icy London road on Thursday (January 7).

The 37-year-old actress exchanged information with the other driver and made sure she was okay - glad to see nobody was hurt!

Earlier this week, Gwyn made a run to the gym wearing the same warm beanie and jacket she wore while driving!
