• Kate Winslet says she keeps magazines featuring ultrathin models and actress away from her six-year-old daughter Mia. “It’s so disturbing because young girls are impressionable from 11 up to 19 or 20 even,” Kate told British Broadcasting Corp. television’s “Sunday AM” program. Kate also said she hoped her success would be an inspiration to others. “I hope that in some small way I’m able to say, ‘I’m a normal person, I’m doing all right.’ I’ve got a lovely husband and children and I didn’t lose weight to find those things, and those things are what should be important.”

This past Tuesday in Amsterdam, Gwyneth Paltrow and Spanish ballet dancer Angel Corella helped debut the Christmas ad campaign they shot for Freixenet cava last month in Barcelona. Other pictures include Gwyn arriving at Heathrow airport the day before and leaving her gym not long before that.

Gwyneth Paltrow brought Hollywood glamour to a royal dinner last night, Prince Charles‘ star-studded gala dinner to celebrate 30 years of the charitable The Prince’s Trust. The swank event was held at The Roundhouse in London, UK. Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall pictured below meeting Sting and Gwyn. More pictures in the gallery!

Gwyneth Paltrow attended last night’s 23rd Annual Night of Stars Honoring “The Visionaries” of fashion sponsored by The Fashion Group International. Presenter Gwyneth, 34, recognized icons, style-makers and transformers of fashion and design. Caught a screening of Babel last night. How did Brad Pitt measure up? Even ex Gwyneth Paltrow told NYDN that he’ll take home an Oscar: “It’s the best performance Brad’s ever given. [Babel] makes you want to take good care of your children.” Here’s how it went down…

3 different countries. 4 groups of people. Lives forever changed. A man in Morocco is sold a rifle that he gives to his two sons to protect their goats from jackals. While practicing their shooting, the younger son accidentally shoots an American woman, (Cate Blanchett) who is vacationing with her husband (Brad Pitt) aboard a tour bus. The movie establishes the characters that are further connected to the American couple, the children who are with their Mexican nanny back in the States and the original owner of the rifle, a Japanese businessman whose daughter is deaf-mute.

The event was held at NYC’s Tribeca Grand Screening Room and sponsored by the Cinema Society and The Wall Street Journal. Gwyneth, 34, was accompanied supermodel pal Helena Christensen.
