Halle Berry visits a friend’s house in the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday (April 22).

The 42-year-old actress shared about her fashion sense in the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “I’m not the girl for superhigh fashion because I don’t have the right body,” she said. “When I want to get dressed up, I’m a Roberto Cavalli girl. Also, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Calvin Klein…”

Halle also talked about the difficult balance between working and her family. “I used to work a lot because I had nothing better to do. What I’ve learned, especially by having a baby, is that you can’t bring that stuff home anymore,” she continued. “For example, I was alone filming Monster’s Ball. I was married to someone else, and he wasn’t really around much. Thank God that was only a 20-day shoot.”

Halle Berry (in Missoni) lends her star power for the premiere of The Soloist on Monday (April 20) in Los Angeles.

At the premiere, the 42-year-old actress posed with Jaime Foxx, who stars in The Soloist alongside Robert Downey Jr.. The film is based on a true story of Nathaniel Ayers (Foxx), a musician who becomes schizophrenic and homeless.

On Sunday, Halle was at the 2009 Jenesse Silver Rose Gala & Auction at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Halle Berry (in Anna Molinari) rubs shoulders with Ashanti and Wayne Brady (both pictured below) at the 2009 Jenesse Silver Rose Gala & Auction at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunday (April 19).

The 42-year-old actress helped raise funds for the Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention program that Halle has supported for many years.

“The Jenesse Center is an organization that is very close to my heart,” said Halle. “Their work makes a tremendous difference in the lives of women and children and I am proud to support such a worthy cause by auctioning off this beautiful bracelet.”

Do you think that’s a wig and she shaved her head already?? The 42-year-old actress did just tell Harper’s Bazaar that she’s fearful to go bald: “Yes. I’m scared to death. I just hope my reaction fits into the story. If it’s uncontrollable screaming, it might be a different type of movie.”

Halle also gave a few more details about the flick: “This movie [is] called Nappily Ever After. It’s beautiful, funny, but has a deep message about women. Women slave for their hair! It’s all about how we compare ourselves to other women, how we size ourselves up. It’s a look at this one woman’s life, and she goes through this metamorphosis when she gets rid of her hair. Not only does she feel different, but people treat her differently. She’s now more like an alien than the hottest chick on the block. She’s got to reboot and discover who she really is.”

Halle Berry gets into her car where she spends some time visiting a friend’s house on Wednesday (April 8) in Los Angeles, Calif.

The 42-year-old actress covers the May 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, where she shared a lot about the joys of raising her daughter Nahla Aubry. “Having a baby takes so much from you. It’s the most glorious thing you’ll ever do, but the aftermath is not so glorious!” Halle joked. “So now I’m having to exercise, eat a little bit differently, take a lot more vitamins.”

“My pregnancy was amazing. I was happy that whole time, I felt good. I had energy, I felt like Superwoman,” Halle said. “I wish I could feel like that for the rest of my life, that’s how fantastic it was.”

Obama is someone who’s more like her than not, who shares her history. Hopefully she’ll grow up in a world where it’ll be easier than I had it. I had a rough time. I was accused of stuffing the ballot box for my high school prom-queen election because they couldn’t believe the only black girl in the school won.

Halle Berry and a mystery man arrive arm-in-arm to the Bergamot Station Arts Center on Saturday (April 4) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 42-year-old actress was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week and shared, “All the mothers know [my daughter Nahla is] a year now and I just got my first night of sleep, like, last week. It feels so important to reach that milestone…Getting back to some normalcy.”

As for more kids, Halle said, “My mind says yes but the rest isn’t up to me, so we’ll see. I hope I don’t have like 14 more…That’s all I hope!”

Halle Berry takes her adorable daughter Nahla to fill up the car at a gas station on Saturday (March 28) in Santa Monica, Calif.

Nahla later changed into a tutu before reportedly attending a birthday party.

Last week, Halle and her boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry, dined on salads during a relaxed lunch at Beverly Hills restaurant Trilussa (which is closing for two weeks and being remodeled into a new eatery, Villa Blanca).
