Heidi Montag and on-and-off-again fiance Spencer Pratt spoke with Extra! about their upcoming trip to the Middle East. Here’s what The Hills couple had to say:

Heidi on her stepbrother being killed in the Iraq War and her plans to perform for American troops stationed in the Middle East: My brother was an airborne ranger in Afghanistan and Iraq. It’s very important to me and important to Spencer to support the troops and go over there.”

Spencer on the photo shoot they had with guns: “We went once, it’s not like we’re rolling around with guns… guns are not a toy. We don’t promote guns. We were under supervision of three trained professionals.”

Heidi on her friendship with presidential hopeful Senator John McCain’s daughter, Meghan: “She’s very sweet. We have a lot in common.” (Spencer adds, “I think Meghan McCain is helping organize Heidi and our Iraq trip. Her dad definitely has some pull with the military. I think she’s going to put that together for us.”)

Spencer on the couple’s upcoming video game: “We’re eventually going to have our videogame that UBI-Soft is going to design for us sold at Kitson…it’s top secret…get ready. All your wildest dreams are going to be in it.”

Heidi on her clothing line, Heidiwood: “It’s selling really well. It’s one of the #1 selling celebrity clothing lines.”

The Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis is dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of MS. Funding research is the core focus of the Foundation and significant strides have been made to find the cause and the cure of this devastating disease.

While Heidi and Spencer were at the E3 Media and Business Summit, Spencer told Access Hollywood he has been praying for Lauren Conrad since her clothing line got dropped by Kitson.

The Hills’ feminist hero Heidi Montag and Republican Presidential candidate John McCain’s daughter, Meghan McCain, grab lunch together at the Ivy on the Shore restaurant in Santa Monica, Calif., on Tuesday afternoon.

Back in April, Heidi publicly declared, “I’m voting for John McCain. I’m a Republican and McCain has a lot of experience.” Since then, McCain shared that he never misses an episode of The Hills.

The pair are working on their firearms skills with a personal instructor who went over shooting skills, close combat, tactical, and defense weapons training. Heidi and Spencer came with their own personal arsenal and also rented other weapons.

The Hills couple has been concerned about their protection and have been proactive in educating themselves. They recently spent $10,000 on weapons at the Martin B. Retting store in Culver City, Calif.

Heidi Montag announced her grand master plan to USA Today. The 21-year-old Hills star wants to release a Christian album!

On why she wants to record a Christian album: “I have been the most religious person since I was 2 years old. I always felt this crazy connection to God. [I consider myself] kind of non-denominational Baptist.”

On visiting Africa: “[This August, Spencer and I will] feed children and help build things.” (She once planned on devoting her life to God as a missionary in Africa.)

On ex-BFF Lauren Conrad’s claim that she spread those sex tape rumors: “There were rumors about a sex tape, but I had nothing to do with that. God knows the truth in all of this, and at the end of the day, that is the only thing that matters. Jesus was persecuted, and I’m going to get persecuted, ya know?”

On never reconciling with Lauren even though Jesus taught forgiveness: “I don’t think people are ever going to get that [but Lauren will] always have a place in my heart.”

On The Hills viewers meeting her older sister Holly, an aspiring filmmaker who once lived with her and Lauren “Holly and Lauren were inseparable for a while. But they stopped being friends when Lauren and I stopped being friends.”

The new season of The Hills premieres on August 18.

Ms. Montag, 21, recently released her new single, Fashion, which has been hammered by critics. Despite the criticism, Heidi is pushing forward with her music career and starting her own record label called Super Producer RedONE. She is looking to write and produce an entire album of 13 songs.
