Hilary Duff was seen shimmering in a trendy metallic trenchcoat, arriving back at her New York City hotel after stealing the show in a cleavage-popping bronze gown at the GLAAD Media Awards on Monday night.

The 18th Annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Media Awards were held at NYC’s Marriott Marquis Hotel.

Hilary shared about her run-in with ex-boyfriend Joel: “I just did TRL today and Joel was there, and it was the first time we’d seen each other and it was so, like, nerve-racking. I knew that he was going to be there and he knew. It is what it is. I mean, what am I going to do? It’s life. It was a little strange at first, but I wish nothing but good for him and I know that he wishes the same for me. I’m happy and he’s happy and I think that’s all that counts.”

Hilary Duff just happened to be co-hosting when ex-boyfriend Joel Madden was around to promote his Good Charlotte album, Good Morning Revival. The ex-lovers reunited at the MTV Studios in Times Square on Monday for a taping of Total Request Live.

Joel and his twin brother Benji performed onstage during TRL while Hilary watched from the sidelines.

Some new movie stills have been released of tween queen Hilary Duff on the set of her new movie, War, Inc. co-starring John Cusack and Marisa Tomei (both pictured above).

Hilary, 19, filmed this movie in Sofia, Bulgaria and will be playing a European pop star, Yonica, who gets caught in an assassin’s scheme in a fictional Middle Eastern country called Turgastan. She even gets to shoot a machine gun in the film!

Said Hilary about War, Inc., “It’s off the wall and nuts and really smart and controversial and really proves the point. And I was so excited about it, like, ‘Gosh, can I do this? I don’t know if I can do this!’ Because you know what, when people won’t take a chance on you, you have like no confidence.”

War, Inc. will be released nationwide later this year.
