Academy Award winner Hilary Swank nabs another cover, this time the January 2008 issue of Ladies’ Home Journal. She opens up about the joys of risk taking, her love of animals and never saying no to adventure.

On why she’s happy with herself: “I love the fact that I think I’m the type of girl who can hang with the poorest of the poor and the richest of the rich and still fit in. It’s probably one of my characteristics that I’m most proud of.”

Her thoughts during the sojourn to Northern India after her separation to husband, Chad Lowe: “I just sat with myself and thought, ‘What do I need right now? What do I need to do for myself.’ It was a time in my life where I felt I had so much…what’s the word? So many eyes were upon me. And that’s so unhealthy, for so many reasons.”

On divorce and moving on: “I just thought, ‘I’ve really got to get out and get back into the world and back into what’s important in life.’ No scrutiny, no ‘what am I wearing through this.’”

On children: “Since I was 7 I’ve thought I’m going to have kids someday. So definitely, definitely.”

Hilary Swank (in Burberry Prorsum) is all ear-to-ear smiles as she arrives at Good Morning America to promote her new film, P.S. I Love You. She also wore Agent Provocateur oxford heels.

P.S. I Love You is about a young widow that discovers her late husband has left her 10 messages intended to help ease her pain and start a new life.

The 33-year-old actress recently snagged the cover for W Magazine’s January 2008 issue.

Hilary dishes on being in love again, her extreme health regimen and her romantic new role. Hil, 33, is a two-time Academy Award winner, famous primarily for Million Dollar Baby and Boys Don’t Cry.

Below are excerpts from the piece:

On being in love with her boyfriend, former agent John Campisi: “Of course I’m in love. Or I wouldn’t be in this relationship for as long as I’ve been. He’s a great guy.”

On the 45 supplements she takes everyday in addition to her vitamin injections: “This is my Aloe C, which I dissolve in water. Here’s my flax. This one’s for my immune system, and this one is my BrainWave–it’s great, like if I have a lot of lines to memorize. I just took my most important ones, which are my Oz Garcia Longevity Pak. I shoved them in my mouth right before I met you, which I actually shouldn’t do, because I choked on my vitamins once before.”

On Jeff Robinov’s, the President of Production at Warner Bros., alleged claim that they will no longer be doing movies with female leads due to recent box office duds: “Who knows if Jeff really said that or not. I think that’s still up for debate. He says he didn’t say it, and I know that people attribute things to me that I didn’t say. But speaking in general, I think it’s really naive to say, ‘Oh, a woman’s vehicle is not successful,’ because men’s movies have failed at the box office too. Look, I don’t want to name names, but there’s been lots of movies starring men–with big names!–that didn’t do well.”

On why she left New York City:“I looked and looked and looked for a place in New York. I just didn’t find anything. Prices have just skyrocketed!”

On her metabolism: “I have a really high metabolism. Exercise is also really important to me. I think it gives me more energy. I would rather sleep six hours and get an hour workout than sleep seven hours.”

On her crazy schedule:“In the past four and a half weeks, I’ve been to London, Texas, Chicago, China, New York, L.A. and New York again. You know, it’s tiring, but I can’t complain, because I’m getting to do what I love.”

Hilary Swank takes ruffles to the extreme in a Monique Lhuillier number at the premiere of her latest romantic comedy P.S. I Love You at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood.

P.S. I Love You opens Dec. 21 and costars Gerard Butler, Lisa Kudrow, Gina Gershon, James Marsters, Harry Connick Jr. and Kathy Bates. It’s about a young widow who discovers that her late husband has left her 10 messages intended to help ease her pain and start a new life.

Hilary Swank shows off her newly cropped do at the Time For Peace Awards at the Hotel Bel-Air on Thursday in Beverly Hills, Calif. (Oprah chopped off a little more than 9 inches of her hair during a segment last Friday in the name of charity. The 33-year-old actress donated her locks to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, a campaign to support and encourage women who have lost their hair during cancer treatment.)

Swank was honored for her role in Freedom Writers, where she played a teacher trying to reach underperforming students with maverick techniques

Hilary Swank (in Louis Vuitton) promotes French fashion house Guerlain’s fragrance, Insolence, while at Selfridges department store in London on Thursday.

The actress, who appears in nude ads for the scent, wore a chic cowl-neck suit worn with patent pumps and a structured handbag.

Hilary, 33, later arrived for the VIP dinner at Automat.

Oscar knockout Hilary Swank looked like a million dollar babe as she was photographed for a circus-themed magazine photo shoot in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Hilary, 33, stood on a large, stationary beach ball while dressed like a female ringmaster with a top hat, fishnet tights, black hotpants and a red sparkly blouse.

At one point during the shoot for Ladies Home Journal, Ms. Swank posed with a lion cub (you can see one of the trainers with a baby bottle for the lion).
