Hilary Swank filmed her latest movie P.S., I Love You yesterday and earlier today in NYC. P.S., I Love You is about a young widow (Holly Kennedy) who receives a package of letters from her late husband months after his death, with instructions to open one on the first day of each month from March to January. Each letter contains a specific task Holly is supposed to do to help her move on to a new life.

Hilary Swank plays Holly Kennedy. Gerard Butler plays the deceased husband, Gerry. James Marsters has been cast in the role of John McCarthy, Gerry’s best friend. P.S., I Love You is set for a 2008 release. More pictures in the gallery!

• TvTattle reports: Brad Pitt is one of the exec producers of “4 oz.,” the transsexual sportswriter drama that Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy is working on. “He gets me more money,” Murphy says of Pitt. “He’ll be very involved in everything.” Murphy adds that he named his show after a penis because it fascinates him “that something that weighs so little can cause so much damage and joy at the same time.” “that something that weighs so little can cause so much damage and joy at the same time.”
• Selma Blair, who tried but failed to work out her marriage to estranged husband Ahmet Zappa, is now dating actor Johnny Messner. The two met while filming a movie in 2002, and earlier this week were seen at the Chateau Marmont “making out.”

• American Idol Katherine McPhee is being considered for the big screen version of Wonder Woman. Kat will appear on the cover of Shape magazine wearing a bathing suit as a sort of try-out for the role.
• Gwen Stafani is said to be "boycotting" the MTV Video Music Awards because of the shoddy treatment she got last year. She was nominated for several awards in 2005 and every one, except best dressed, went to Kelly Clarkson. • Paris Hilton’s CD is already being called a flop. A week after its release, the CD has only sold 75,000 copies, pitiful compared to Christina Aguilera’s first week sales of 320,000, according to Soundscan.
• The NY Post featured a photograph of Hilary Swank and her agent John Campisi snuggling in Rome in today’s paper. The couple has been spotted kissing and holding hands all over Rome.  Anyone have it scanned?
• Tom Cruise, who broke ties with Paramount Pictures last week, has signed a two-year financing deal with First & Goal LLC, an investment partnership headed by Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder. The deal will allow Cruise and producing partner Paula Wagner to run their company and make deals to produce films. First & Goal LLC will finance overhead and development costs. Cruise still must find someone to finance production of those films and a company to distribute them.
• South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker say Saddam Hussein spends his time in jail watching the movie South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut,  in which he and Satan hatch a plot for world domination.
• Eminem has collaborated with Nike Inc. to create a limited-edition collection of sneakers to be auctioned to benefit Eminem’s Marshall Mathers Foundation, which provides funds for organizations working with troubled youth in southeast Michigan, and ninemillion.org, a global campaign to bring education and sports programs to children in refugee camps across the globe.

Tony Shalhoub of "Monk" and Julia Louis-Dreyfus of "The New Adventures of Old Christine" won best actor in a comedy series. The best comedy was "The Office" and "The Amazing Race" won as best reality-competition show.
• Hilary Swank is expected to bring CAA agent John Campisi as her date to the Venice and Toronto film festivals. The two are rumored to be dating.

Lowe has been sober for three years now, but Swank says that when she discovered the problem "it was confirmation of something I was feeling that was keeping us from being completely solid.  The magazine does not disclose Lowe’s substance of choice.

A nude Hilary Swank is the poster girl for French fashion house Guerlain’s latest fragrance, Insolence.  The 31-year-old Million Dollar Baby actress dropped her clothes and bared all for the Insolence photoshoot. International marketing director Laurent Boillot enthused: "She is a feminine mix of Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro. She is capable of transforming herself."  Bigger picture in the gallery!

Paris, France :: Does Hilary Swank have a new man in her life?  I’m not getting the boyfriend vibe but the 31-year-old Oscar-winning actress was spotted yesterday morning linking arms and holding hands with a new mystery man.  They walked through the City of Lights yesterday morning with another friend (third wheel?) and stopped by swank citadel Colette (213 rue St-Honoré, 1e) and the Palais Royal Gallery.  Recently, the West Village town house of the Hilary and actor-director Chad Lowe, is on the market for $8.25 million.  More pictures in the gallery!
