Last night’s second episode drew a mere 6.8 million viewers for CBS.
If The New York Times dubs your show “the worst show in history,” you’re screwed.

Oscar Jackman, Hugh’s son, has his first day as a Surf Lifesaver Nipper on Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach in Australia on Sunday.
Oscar’s actress mom Deborra-Lee Furness, with her alien sunglasses, was on hand to give moral support as Oscar went through his first training session. On top of her alien sunglasses, Deborra wore two other glasses atop her head. Why three?!?!?

Hugh Jackman arrives for the third annual A Fine Romance* at Sony Pictures on Saturday in Culver City, Calif.
*A Fine Romance is an evening of celebrity performances honoring musicals from stage and screen. Hugh and Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones co-hosted the star-studded love affair between Hollywood and Broadway. Performers included Audra McDonald, Dick Van Dyke, Vanessa Williams, Jennifer Hudson, Kristin Chenoweth, Chita Rivera, Shirley MacLaine, Raul Esparza and Jamie Campbell Bower.

The next chapter in the X-Men film franchise is called X-Men Origins: Wolverine, according to Variety.
Starring Hugh Jackman and directed by Gavin Hood, the film is set to open May 1, 2009. The superhero flick will explore the claw-wielding character Wolverine’s violent and romantic past, and his complex relationship with Victor Creed and the ominous Weapon X program, as well as his encounters with other mutants.
Liev Schreiber is in final talks to take on the role of a younger version of nemesis William Stryker, played by Brian Cox in X2.
Hood will start shooting in Australia before moving to New Zealand and, later, to New Orleans. Latter location is a clue that the storyline might include New Orleans-based character Gambit, who is able to make objects explode and was a professional thief before joining the X-Men.
An X-Men spinoff based on the character Magneto is also in the works.

The Wolverine star was, of course, joined by wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their two children — son Oscar, 7, daughter, Ava.

And why does it look like Hugh is enjoying the miniature railroad ride more than Ava? Haha.
Hugh has a recurring role and executive produces the upcoming musical-dramedy, which premieres on Thursday, Oct. 18 @ 10PM ET/PT on CBS. A new episode follows that Sunday, Oct. 21 @ 8pm ET/PT.

Hugh Jackman enjoys some father-son bonding time with 7-year-old son Oscar in Bronte Park on Sunday. The nature boys climbed a tree and then relaxed on the grassy slopes of Sydney, Australia.
Hugh will be starring and producing in the musical-dramedy called Viva Laughlin this fall. The show was adapted by from the popular BBC British serial, Blackpool. The Viva Laughlin premiere airs on Sunday, Oct. 21 @ 8PM ET/PT on CBS. Catch the special preview Thursday, Oct. 18 @ 9PM ET/PT.

Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness take their two children — son Oscar, 7, daughter, Ava, 2 — to extend their creativity and imagination by going to the Brett Whiteley Studio/Art Gallery in Surry Hills, Sydney on Friday.
The children participated in an arts and crafts class while Hugh and Deborra wandered around the shop and bought some posters.
The Jackman four then left and headed to Crown Street for some lunch at a Bird Cow Fish bistro but Ava didn’t seem too happy!
