Hugh Jackman, puts his hand and footprints on cement in a ceremony honoring him in the forecourt of the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Tuesday (April 21) in Hollywood.

The 40-year-old Aussie actor said to the crowd, “I have to tell you, this particular block of real estate has brought me two moments in my life I thought would never ever happen. Hosting the Oscars and now here today. It means the world to me to be here.”

Hugh also admitted how much he owes to the X-Men character Wolverine. “This is a dream,” he said. “But I know how much I owe to this character (Wolverine). If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be here.”

The 40-year-old Aussie hunk is headed to Tempe, Ariz., on April 27 to world premiere Wolverine, out May 1. The town won the Wolverine hometown premiere contest.

“These fans have driven the success of the X-Men franchise over the years, and (the contest) has been a chance to say, ‘This is for you,’” Hugh tells USA Today. “People were so excited to get involved, and it was just amazing… I do love meeting the fans, particularly with these movies. I know how passionate they are, and I love to share it with them.”

The 40-year-old Aussie hunk has been on the road promoting X-Men Origins: Wolverine, out May 1. To prepare for the film, Hugh spent months following a hardcore bulk-building regimen. “I wanted to look like [Robert] De Niro did when he took off his shirt in Cape Fear and everyone went, ‘Whoa.’ You realized the guy was a freak,” recalls Hugh. “There were moments when I would wake up completely sore and say to my wife, ‘I have a feeling this is like childbirth.’”

Jacked-up Jackman also admits he applies a “What, me worry?” philosophy to everything he does. For instance, he knew he might risk his action-hero career by taking the leading role in The Boy From Oz on Broadway, as gay Aussie song-and-dance man Peter Allen. “I’ll never forget kissing a guy on stage and someone from the crowd shouting, ‘Don’t do it, Wolverine!,’” recalls Hugh. “I don’t waste time or energy with it. I think there’s far too much importance placed on people’s sexuality anyway. I love sex; it’s great, but it’s not the measure of love or a relationship. And whether you like girls or boys, whether you like the light on or off: Who cares? I always find sexuality one of the least interesting things about a person.”

Wolverine-turned-Spider-Man Hugh Jackman rappels down the side of The Sun newspaper building in London’s Wapping on Thursday (April 16).

The 40-year-old Aussie hunk was also seen at the BBC radio studios promoting his latest superhero flick, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Hugh recently offered up $100,000 of his own money to a charity. He tweeted, “I will donate 100K to one individual’s favorite non profit organization. Hugh Jackman whips out his adamantium claws for the latest GOT MILK? milk mustache ad. His latest superhero flick X-Men Origins: Wolverine opens everywhere on Friday, May 1.

The Got Milk? ad copy reads: “My powers to regenerate might be top secret but my ability to re-energize is simple. Milk has protein to help build muscle and a unique mix of nutrients to help you refuel. So, eat right, train hard and drink low-fat milk. That’s just common mutant sense.”

Hugh Jackman puts on his lab coat and rubber gloves for a fun science experiment on the hugely popular entertainment show El Hormiguero at the TV station “La Cuatro” in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday (April 14).

Hugh Jackman proudly promotes his new superhero flick X-Men Origins: Wolverine in Piazza di Spagna in Rome, Italy on Tuesday (April 14).

To promote his new film, the 40-year-old Aussie actor has been traveling around the world, visiting countries such as South Korea, France, Russia, and now Italy.

Earlier in the morning, Hugh took to the streets of Rome for some exercise. He tweeted, “Had a great five mile run through Rome this morning. Those Spanish steps are killer…”

Hugh Jackman receives Seoul’s Goodwill Ambassador Appointment from the vice Mayor of Seoul, Lee Sang-Chul, at City Hall on Friday (April 10) in Seoul, South Korea.

The 40-year-old Australian actor, who wore Burberry Prorsum’s cotton/gabardine blend trench, is in Korea promoting X-Men Origins: Wolverine along with Daniel Henney, who plays Agent Zero in the upcoming film.

In a press release, Hugh said, “As a goodwill ambassador to Seoul, which has unlimited possibility and charms, I will do my best to show people how beautiful Seoul is and why it is a city worth visiting.”
