Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams are all smiles at the “Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film” event held at Los Angeles’ Wilshire Ebell Theatre on Thursday (March 5).

The 47-year-old actor presented J.J. with the Oscar Wilde for his outstanding work over the past year, calling him “a filmmaker who doesn’t set borders - a great guy and an incredible artist,” according to the BBC.

J.J. also gave a sneak peek at what to expect from Mission: Impossible IV: “We have a really cool idea that we’re playing with and I’m looking forward to that coming to pass,” he said (via UKPA). “[T]here definitely will be a European presence but there’s a whole crazy story, it’s definitely a jet setting movie.”

Jennifer Garner throws her support behind the first annual story time celebration from “Milk + Bookies” held at the Skirball cultural center in Los Angeles on Sunday (February 28).

The 37-year-old actress spent the day reading to children and shared the names of some of her favorite books with other guests.

Milk + Bookies is a non-profit organization that teaches young children how great it feels to give back while celebrating the love of a good book.

Other celebs to donate their time: Peter Facinelli (with wife Jennie Garth), Marlon Wayans, Greg Grunberg, Michael Emerson (with wife Carrie Preston), Jason Biggs (with wife Jenny Mollen).. Also in attendance was director JJ Abrams, who directed Garner’s Alias and Grunberg’s Felicity.

Jennifer Garner is a vision in Christian Dior at the “I Have a Dream” Foundation Los Angeles’12th Annual Gospel Brunch held at the House of Blues Sunset Strip in West Hollywood on Sunday (February 21).

The 37-year-old actress reminisced about the good ol’ days as kick-butt spy Sydney Bristow with her Alias director J.J. Abrams.

According to the organization’s website, the mission of the I Have A Dream Foundation is to help underprivileged children become productive citizens by providing a long-term program of academic enhancement, mentoring, and cultural enrichment with an assured opportunity for higher education.

Star Trek studs Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto arrive at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Saturday (April 4) with their director J.J. Abrams.

The Starship Enterprise crew is headed to Australia for the premiere of their sci-fi flick at the Sydney Opera House. They should be joining fellow costar Eric Bana, who lives in Australia.

In the remake of the sci-fi franchise, Pine plays Captain James T. Kirk and Quinto plays Spock.
