- Richie Sambora could face child endangerment charges after being busted on a DUI charge Tuesday night. There were two children in the car with Sambora when he was pulled over after being spotted “weaving within lanes.” Sambora was released from jail at 4 a.m. on Wednesday and is due in court May 7.
- Cameron Diaz will receive this year’s 2008 Kids Choice “Wanna Be” Award during the Nickelodeon awards show Saturday night. Cameron is getting the trophy for being the celebrity kids most “want to be.”
- Justin Timberlake has been tapped to host ESPN’s annual ESPY Awards July 20. The show will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.
- Broadway musical Rent is getting an extension. Because of increased ticket sales, the show, which was supposed to close June 1, will run until Sept. 7.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon (and wife Luciana Bozan), Mark Wahlberg, Jack Nicholson, and Mira Sorvino attended the Warner Bros. Pictures premiere of Martin Scorsese’s The Departed at the Ziegfeld Theatre last night in New York City. The Departed opens in theaters next Friday, Oct. 6. More pictures in the gallery!
Matt Damon kissed his wife on the lips before doing his red-carpet interviews solo. When asked what kind of criminal he would make in real life, Damon replied, “Probably not a very good one. I’d probably just apologize my way out of everything. I’d be pretty useless.”
