And here’s the latest gossip from The Chicago Sun-Times regarding wedding bells for Gyllenspoon: “Reese Witherspoon’s team continue to firmly deny all those tales of an engagement with Jake Gyllenhaal, but a couple of the actress’ friends insist the Oscar winner and her main man have discussed marriage — and at some length. No ring shopping yet, but there’s strong buzz Gyllenhaal may officially pop the question by the end of the year.”

Jake Gyllenhaal is ready to ask for Reese Witherspoon’s hand in marriage, reports OK!

“They’ve been talking marriage for a while,” a source close to Reese says. “They’ll be formally engaged any day now. They want to spend the rest of their lives together.”

But Gyllenspoon won’t be moving in together and having kids before tying the knot.

“This is a very serious relationship,” Reese’s pal adds. “But Reese is very conservative and traditional. I’m sure she doesn’t want her kids to see her ‘living in sin.’”

USA Weekend recently interviewed Jake’s older sister Maggie about her upcoming movie, The Dark Knight. When asked if she remember the first comic books she ever read, Maggie says, “I didn’t read comic books. And my brother [Jake] read Mad Magazine, which wasn’t the same. I’m not really a major comic book reader. [Laughs.]”

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal leave their New York City hotel with their shades in tow on Wednesday afternoon.

The pair has been enjoying their time in the Big Apple, stopping by Prune restaurant in the East Village. Reese, 31, and Jake, 27, also spent time in Soho shopping at A.P.C.

The couple dined and laughed with four friends and even shared a steak for two! They “were really cute,” adds the source. “They were really sweet together and they looked really in love.”
