Jake, 26, was picked up by his assistant Valerie after arriving at Burbank Airport in California on Friday afternoon.

The Brokeback Mountain star wore a Nike zip-up hoodie and a “Great Western Landscape” cap. And don’t bother looking at his luggage tags. I’ve looked — they’re blank!

• Richard Gere denounced a small right-wing minority in India whose complaints led to an arrest warrant against him. “There is a very conservative political party in India and they are the moral police,” Gere told Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart yesterday. Gere said he was confident the issue would be sorted out. Legal experts agreed with Gere.
• Sources say that Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon have broken up already because Reese can’t find time for him, leaving him “devastated.” On Easter weekend, Reese went to church with her children instead of the Gyllenhaal clan. Jake’s rep has yet to comment.

• Tom Cruise’s friend and fellow Scientologist Jenna Elfman is shooting down reports that the actor’s five-month marriage to Katie Holmes is unstable. “Honestly, they’re happy,” Elfman said yesterday in Santa Monica. “They have a great life and they love each other. For some reason, the media cannot experience that. They must put in things other than the simplicity of it.”

Jake, 26, spent Easter Sunday with mother Naomi, father Stephen, and friends. The Gyllenhaals enjoyed lunch and then shopping along the trendy Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice.

Was Jake trying to set a new fashion trend by wearing his pants inside his unlaced army boots (inset)? His outfit is definitely not as perfect as Reese’s Easter Sunday outfit. Sorry, Jake!

Buff Best buddies Jake and Austin (both 26) co-starred together in global-warming disaster flick The Day After Tomorrow in 2004.

The pair have also shared clothes in the past and been spotted around West Hollywood together.
