James Van Der Beek Splits From Wife
Former Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek and his wife, actress Heather McComb, separated two months ago after about six years of marriage.
“They remain good friends,” his rep confirms to Us Weekly.
Van Der Beek and McComb (both 32) tied the knot in Malibu in July 2003. They were seen celebrating their their fifth wedding anniversary on the beach in July 2008.

James Van Der Beek Joins ‘One Tree Hill’
Former Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek will make a guest appearance on One Tree Hill, reports EW.
The 31-year-old actor will return to his old Dawson’s Creek production lot in Wilmington, N.C., which is currently used by OTH. Van Der Beek will play a director who’s interested in making a movie out of Lucas’ (Chad Michael Murray) novel.
Says executive producer Mark Schwahn, “The specter of Dawson’s Creek is always around us. We’re about to [complete] 128 episodes, which is what Dawson’s did. “So I thought it would be cool to get James.”
Van Der Beek’s episode will air in late November.

Actress Heather McComb passionately kisses her husband James Van Der Beek (of Dawson’s Creek fame) while riding on his hip over the fourth of July weekend at a beach in Malibu, Calif.
Van Der Beek and McComb (both 31) celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary today (Sunday). Since they’re both wearing red bracelets, it would seem that they are Kabbalah believers.

Dawson’s Creek to Follow Britney Spears
James Van Der Beek, aka Dawson Leery, has agreed to officially guest star on How I Met Your Mother according to E! Online. His guest appearance follows a recent one by Britney Spears.
Van Der Beek will star in the “Robin Sparkles” episode, reportedly playing the Canadian pop star’s crush.
Oh how the Dawson’s Creek cast, Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams, James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson has evolved over the years.
