Gerard Butler and the cast of Law Abiding Citizen attend a press conference at the Mayor’s Office reception room in City Hall on Friday (January 23) in Philadelphia, Penn.

The 39-year-old Scottish stud held up a statuette of The Liberty Bell, the official welcome gift from the city of Philadelphia. The bell is one of the most prominent symbols of the American Revolutionary War, representing liberty and justice.

Law Abiding Citizen is a drama thriller about an everyday guy who decides to take justice into his own hands after a plea bargain sets his family’s killers free. His target: The district attorney who orchestrated the deal.

• Isaac Hanson is expected to make a full recovery after undergoing surgery Thursday to remove a blood clot in his lungs. Isaac, 26, was diagnosed with venous thoracic outlet syndrome. Also known as Paget-Schroetter Syndrome, the potentially fatal ailment occurs when a blood clot forms in a deep arm or shoulder vein. Hanson’s publicity manager Ken Phillips said Hanson has had similar problems in the past, but not to this extent. Hanson and his doctor were to discuss the surgery at a news conference Friday. Hanson may be released from the hospital then.
• Jane Seymour, who missed Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars to attend her mother’s funeral in England, will return to the ABS show on Monday.
• Jennifer Aniston, Kate Bosworth, Orlando Bloom and Natalie Portman were in Mexico last weekend for the wedding of friends Luc Brikner and Todd Diener.
• The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard announced Thursday that America Ferrera is the Hispanic Woman of the Year. The publications will honor Ferrera and the 25 most powerful Hispanic women in film, television and music at their inaugural Hispanic Women in Entertainment breakfast at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Tuesday.

Jennifer Garner attends the UK premiere of The Kingdom held at the Odeon West End in London on Thursday.

The 35-year-old actress wore a sweeping indigo gown by Temperley London with beautiful cut-out details on the back and sleeves. Jen finished off her regal look with a black clutch and peep-toe shoes.

Fashion plate Jennifer Garner wore a full-length fuchsia dress by Zac Posen at the premiere of The Kingdom on Wednesday in Paris, France. The former Alias star also wore Van Cleef & Arpels jewels.

It sort of looks like Jen has pigtails in the picture to the right. Ha!

Adrien Brody arrives to the 35th AFI Life Achievement Award tribute to Al Pacino held at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre on Thursday.

Pacino is a two-time Tony Award winner who has been nominated for eight Academy Awards. He won in 1992 for his role as Lt. Col. Frank Slade in Scent of a Woman.

Upon accepting the award, Pacino joked, “Seeing my life in the movies, I have one question. And that is: Why aren’t I in rehab?”

Katherine Heigl, star of the hit TV series Grey’s Anatomy, attended the screening of the new movie Dreamgirls with her fiance, singer-songwriter Josh Kelley. The two have been engaged since June of 2006.

Dreamgirls, a film about a trio of black female singers crossing over to mainstream fame, stars Jamie Foxx, Beyonce Knowles, and Eddie Murphy. It is currently playing in select theaters in the US and will be released nationwide on Christmas day.
