Janet Jackson will appear on the double cover of VIBE Magazine’s April 2008 issue, the magazine’s ‘first-ever’ photo issue.

On growing up in her household: “I remember being a kid and they’d come over … you take so much for granted…. you’re not thinking about the fact that it’s Marvin Gaye over all the time, or Diana [Ross] or Smokey [Robinson].”

On her relationship with super-producer Jermaine Dupri: “Married or not, it’s not important … I feel like it’s it …. It’s been about eight years. He’s just a sweetheart. Truly a good-hearted person.”

On being a responsible child in the entertainment business: “One of the major things was my work ethic, since I was a kid … I never had my mother wake me up … I’d get myself up everyday. It never struck me … that’s a lot of difficulty for a 10-year-old … I don’t know if it’s something in the genes, or from watching my brothers, seeing them working hard.”

The cover was shot in January by fashion photographer Michelangelo di Battista at New York City’s Milk Studios.

Janet Jackson shows off her new bangs and wavy locks during TRL at the MTV Times Square Studios on Tuesday in New York City.

During the show, Janet was asked to to describe herself in four words. She said: “Fun. Generous. Moody. Hot.”

Miss Jackson performed her hit song “Feedback” at the end of the show.

Janet Jackson’s “Feedback” music video has been released and it is phenomenal!!!!! Like, PHENOMENAL!!!!!

The vid has a very “outer space” feel to it but start watching from the 2-minute mark because dayum, Janet’s dancing makes me all tingly inside!

As always, the choreography is tight and the special effects, especially the ending, is perfection. HOT HOT HOT!!!!!

Kudos to Gil Duldulao for the hot moves and Saam Farahmand for the directing! Smooth.

“I love the dance. I love the mid tempo stuff,” she says of hew new album, Discipline. “I love the slow songs and the baby making songs. It still has that element to it.”

Janet also admitted that her songs put listeners in the mood: “You don’t know how many people come up to me and say, ‘This child was conceived listening to you.’”

Do the Jacksons still get together for family gatherings? We didn’t this year and my nephew, bless his heart, said, “We’re not getting together this year and I’m really mad because it’s going to fall on my birthday so everyone was going to be there for my birthday!” Some of us don’t celebrate birthdays because we’re Jehovah’s Witnesses, but he was still going to pretend and be like, “This is a party for me!”

What are your New Year resolutions for 2008? This is awful, but I’m going to try and stop cursing as much. I know that sounds crazy. I didn’t used to curse, but when I did [the 1993 drama/romance film] Poetic Justice I had to curse so I was practicing my cursing and I haven’t stopped. It’s bad, I do it too much. It’s a bad habit. That and to become more environmentally friendly. I’ve already started with my little energy-saving light bulbs; I’ve been testing them out. And I was thinking about getting a hybrid but I love these big cars, I love trucks and stuff. I’m awful. Slowly but surely I’m getting there, slowly but surely so that it’s not too drastic. But yet [laughs] I try to do it fast enough so that I won’t be the cause of the end of the world! They’ll say, ”If she moved just a little quicker, this wouldn’t be happening right now!”
