• American Idol Katherine McPhee is being considered for the big screen version of Wonder Woman. Kat will appear on the cover of Shape magazine wearing a bathing suit as a sort of try-out for the role.
• Gwen Stafani is said to be "boycotting" the MTV Video Music Awards because of the shoddy treatment she got last year. She was nominated for several awards in 2005 and every one, except best dressed, went to Kelly Clarkson. Gwen felt set up when she realized the camera was on her every time Kelly won.  Umm, I wouldn’t do that Gwen.  Just look at Janet Jackson now… (Her new music video got zero coverage.)

• Helena Bonham Carter, an Oscar nominee for The Wings of the Dove, who most recently starred in the hit film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, has joined the all-star cast of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.  Bonham Carter will play Bellatrix Lestrange, Sirius Black’s cousin and a Death Eater, who is one of Lord Voldemort’s followers.

• Pamela Anderson confirms she plans to marry Kid Rock in France, California, Michigan, and Tennessee. "I’m going to get married a few times this month to the same guy," Pamela said during a news conference about her new online poker site, PamelaPoker.com. The first set of nuptials will take place near St. Tropez, France reportedly this weekend.
• Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are planning to get married later this summer, says Cruise’s rep, Paul Bloch, who added that the ceremony will take place at one of the actor’s homes.  Several reports had suggested the couple was going to marry this weekend.

With five wardrobe changes in all, "we pushed it as far as we could go," says make-up artist Fran Cooper.  "We tried to get a goddess feel." … Her metal corset (top right) was inspired by the African Masal tribe.  "The sway of my back has always been the body part that I’ve liked the most," Jackson said. …Famed director Hype Williams (bottom right, with Jackson, Nelly, and Jackson’s beau, producer Jermaine Dupri) has also worked with Jessica Simpson and Mary J. Blige.  "We wanted it to feel like we were painting a beautiful picture," Williams said. 

The theme is a blend of live action and animation, the videp is inspired by the children’s classic Aestop’s Fables.  "It’s a lot of fun and whimsical," says Jackson.  Janet Jackon’s "Call On Me" music video will debut on BET’s "Access Granted" on Wednesday, July 26th.
