Jared Padalecki and longtime girlfriend Sandra McCoy are officially engaged!

The Supernatural hunk confirmed the news at the Supernatural L.A. Convention. Earlier this year, it was also reported that the CW series will be returning for a fourth season.

Jared, 25, and Sandy, 28, met on the set of the 2005 horror movie Cry Wolf.

Congrats to the happy couple!!

Supernatural stud Jared Padalecki walks the red carpet with actress girlfriend Sandra McCoy at the premiere of action drama Never Back Down at Hollywood’s Cinerama Dome on Tuesday.

Never Back Down takes place in the new high school of rebellious teen Jake Tyler (Sean Faris). Tyler is lured into an underground fight club, where he finds a mentor in a mixed martial arts veteran (Djimon Hounsou).

Later in the evening, Padalecki and McCoy were seen hitting up Goa nightclub in Hollywood (pictured below).

Supernatural scored some serious ratings last night–so much that a fourth season is likely.

According to TV Guide, the zombie-themed episode garnered 3.22 million viewers–its largest audience of the season.

Looks like the Jensen Ackless and Jared Padalecki fandom can rest easy tonight!

When Jared Met Jared

Like all of the other celebrities, Supernatural star Jared Padalecki and his actress girlfriend Sandy McCoy ran quickly past the butt end line of press at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards.

I didn’t think much of it until I noticed Sandy’s keen roving eye light up at the sight of the JustJared.com placard on the press gate. She quickly pointed it out to Jared, who glanced over my way, smiled and nodded. I smiled and nodded back. (It’s a Jared name thing, you wouldn’t understand.)

Celebrities started bottlenecking after walking through the metal detectors before entering the Gibson Amphitheater. I seized the opportunity to flag Jared down and get him to pose with the “I LOVE JUSTJARED.COM” sign. “Sure, of course!” he said. Jared even made me take another photo with me in it! Double Jared!!

Right before Jared and Sandy took off from the show, they were kind enough to pose together for a great candid shot (see below).

Jared Padalecki was a skinny kid when he landed a role in Gilmore Girls. Now, at 25, he is the star of his own CW series, Supernatural, and has the body of a leading man. His transformation began after a 4-inch growth spurt, to his currently 6’4”.

“Suddenly I really needed to add muscle mass,” says Jared Padalecki. He packed on 35 pounds of muscle while staying lean.

He credits Scot Mendelson, a two-time world bench-press champion who guides Padalecki through short but intense workouts and encourages him to snack on 600-calorie protein shakes.

Scot Mendelson does not play around and goes old school on guys like Padalecki: Get strong to get big. “The heavier weights you use, the more muscle fibers you’ll activate, leading to greater growth,” he says.
