Two generations of 90210 converged at the 2008 Gemini Awards at Intercontinental Hotel’s Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Friday, November 28 in Toronto, Canada.

Former Beverly Hills 90210 actor Jason Priestley, 39, and 90210 starlet Shenae Grimes, 19, met up on the red carpet at the event. Shenae donned Yoana Baraschi’s 70’s rose art kimono dress over David Lerner Collection’s full-footed leggings. She stacked her wrist with Orka Messica’s friendship bracelets and macrame bracelets.

Jason will direct an episode for the new 90210 series, which will air this spring. His former on-screen sister, Shannen Doherty, is expected to return for two more episodes later this season.

WALSH REUNION

Jason Priestley will be sitting in the director’s chair for the upcoming 18th episode of the hit CW drama 90210, reports EW.

Priestley’s on-screen sister, Shannen Doherty, is expected to return for two more episodes later this season, one of which Priestley might direct. Says executive producer Gabe Sachs, “I think it would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his [former 90210 costars], and it would also add something special to that episode,” he says. “But we don’t know whether that will happen yet.”

Priestley’s episode is slated to air this spring.

• Lindsay Lohan is still set to appear in the film Dare to Love Me, despite her arrest yesterday, said Bowline Entertainment production company consultant Michael Sands. “The producers have compassion and kindness for her, so for now she’s insured and still with the movie,” he said. The film is supposed to begin filming this summer.
• Luke Wilson had to have his cell phone number changed after Johnny Knoxville played a prank on him Saturday night. Knoxville hired a plane to hover over the Polaroid Beach House in Malibu with a sign that gave away his digits. The sign read: “Luke Wilson’s phone #: 3105000082.”
• Producer Will.I.Am on working on Michael Jackson’s new album: “He still sings like a bird. We have a real opportunity to do something here. It’s either going to be really big or nobody’s going to care. Ain’t no middle ground on this one.”

Beverly Hills 90210 was the first primetime soap to make it big and the first season was finally released on DVD earlier this month. A decade’s worth of drama unfolded for Dylan, Kelly, Donna, Steve, David, Andrea and twins Brandon and Brenda. (Personally, I was a Dylan and Brenda shipper.) Relive all their teenage angst with the DVD, which has all 22 first season episodes along with bonus features (commentary by creator Darren Star, behind the scenes clips, etc…)
