The 36-year-old actress and her Young Adult director Jason Reitman were interviewed about the film by New York Times writer Charles McGrath.

Lizzie was nominated that evening for Best Breakthrough Actor for her role in MMMM. She was up against Like Crazy‘s Felicity Jones, The Descendants‘ Shailene Woodley, Gun Hill Road‘s Harmony Santana, and Terri‘s Jacob Wysocki. Felicity (pictured inside) took home the prize.

FYI: Charlize is wearing a Gucci dress, Tom Ford shoes, an Alexander McQueen bag, Fred Leighton jewelry, and a Jennifer Behr headwrap.

Felicity is wearing Proenza Schouler, while Shailene is wearing Dolce&Gabbana.

Natalie Portman flashes her smile at the Film Independent’s live reading of The Apartment held at the Bing Theatre at LACMA on Thursday (November 17) in Los Angeles.

The 30-year-old actress was joined for the special reading by Mindy Kaling, Steve Carrell, Jason Reitman, Ken Jeong, Pierce Brosnan, JK Simmons, Collette Wolfe, Jake Johnson, and Nick Kroll!

“Surprised to see Steve Carell and Natalie Portman both looking like teenagers. UGH SO UNFAIR KILL ME” Mindy jokingly tweeted after the reading.

The Apartment was the latest installement in Jason‘s film script readings – he previously put together a reading of The Breakfast Club with Jennifer Garner and Aaron Paul!

Deadline reports the entire Juno team of director Jason Reitman, screenwriter Diablo Cody, and production companies Mandate Pictures and Mr. Mudd are teaming up again for this project.

Charlize‘s character “realizes she has no identity with her pseudonym and plots to reclaim her identity. Her campaign involves going back and rekindling a relationship with her high school boyfriend–who’s freshly married, is a new father, and wants no part of her… While she works on her plan, the ghostwriter reengages with high school acquaintances and their experiences in trying to carry out all those high school hopes and dreams that often get crushed by the realities of life.” Sounds interesting!!!

Young Adult starts production in New York on November 10.
