Jay Leno 'Gets Back' To 11:35 in New NBC Ad

Kevin Eubanks Plans to Leave Jay Leno's Show

Letterman, Leno & Oprah Team Up For Super Bowl Commercial

In what was one of the most popular Super Bowl commercials of the night, late night hosts David Letterman and Jay Leno joined talk show host Oprah Winfrey in a 10 second spot for The Late Show with David Letterman.

Late Show executive producer Rob Burnett told EW how the ad was shot without the press catching on:

“We began having logistical meetings that would make the CIA proud,” Rob said. “We had to figure out a way to keep it a surprise. NBC arranged to have Jay fly on the NBC jet at 7:30 in morning on Feb. 2 and he was at the Teterboro Airport [in New Jersey] at 3:30 p.m. We snuck him through the front door on Broadway.”

Jay wore a disguise …a hooded sweatshirt, dark sunglasses and a mustache. Fifteen minutes later, Oprah arrived … but not in a disguise. We shot it in the balcony of the Ed Sullivan Theater.”

Jay Leno Tells Oprah He Feels Bad For Conan

Oprah Winfrey to Interview Jay Leno

Oprah Winfrey will interview Jay Leno for an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show next week, she announced Friday (January 22).

The talk show queen announced that she will travel to Los Angeles for a one-on-one interview with the late-night host (via ABC), to air Thursday, January 28.

NBC released a statement yesterday confirming that Conan O’Brien would be released from his contract and would no longer host The Tonight Show after January 22.

Jay will return to The Tonight Show on March 1.

Conan & NBC Officially Split

Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien has officially called it quits with NBC, his manager Gavin Polone confirmed on Thursday morning (January 21). Here’s what’s being speculated about the agreement:

Conan’s last show will be tomorrow (January 22) and he won’t be able to work for another network until September 1.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Conan will make off with $32 million, with an additional $12 million going to his staff.

“In the end, Conan was appreciative of the steps NBC made to take care of his staff and crew, and decided to supplement the severance they were getting out of his own pocket,” Polone told The Wrap. “Now he just wants to get back on the air as quickly as possible.”

NBC has not commented on the agreement yet but is expected to make an announcement later today. It’s expected that Jay Leno will return to Tonight on March 1.
