The Office “Sumo” Style

These promo pics for The Office just get funnier and funnier!

It looks like sumo wrestler Jim loses out to sumo wrestler Stanley. And then sumo wrestler Stanley faces off against sumo wrestler Dwight! Who will be Sumo champ? My guess is the mighty Dwight!

Here’s the synopsis from NYC:

Michael is being considered for a position in corporate and has to recommend his replacement, but while the group expects a fun outing at Lake Scranton, Michael has planned a day of “Survivor”-like competitions to find his successor. Meanwhile, Pam is not asked to join in any of the activities and is forced to watch Jim and Karen have fun together.

The supersized “Beach Games” episode of The Office airs @ 8:40-9:20PM on NBC. Don’t miss it!

P.S. Pam, your rolled up jeans are a hoot!

The Office: PANTIES, PANTIES, PANTIES!

Hilarious new promos for The Office have been released and there is lingerie everywhere! Be sure to check out the reaction of Angela (wearing a cat sweater) to Michael holding up a pair of panties at the lingerie shop. Hilarious!

Here’s a little synopsis from NBC: “Outrage breaks out in the office after Phyllis gets an unexpected eyeful from a flasher. Michael makes some important personal decisions when he takes the women on a special outing. Meanwhile, Dwight and Andy work on catching the predator.”

OfficeTally and GMMR made set visits when this episode was filming. This episode is also Jenna Fischer’s personal favorite episode of the new ones coming up, which she just blogged about on MySpace.

The supersized “Women’s Appreciation” episode of The Office airs @ 8:35-9:19PM on NBC.

Safety Training Day on ‘The Office’

New promos for The Office have arrived. Looks like Michael is going to jump off the Dunder-Mifflin building!!

Andy returns to the office after several weeks of anger management training, determined to make a fresh start with all the Dunder-Mifflin employees. Meanwhile, it’s safety training day in the office, and Michael and Dwight are on a mission to illuminate the true dangers of the workplace.

I never knew how awful Pam’s shoes were until now with this bird’s eye view. Wow, those are 50 kinds of ugly. And noticet the smashed watermelon on one of the cars in the parking lot!

The Office episode “Safety Training” airs Thursday, April 12 @ 8:30PM ET/PT on NBC.

Jenna Fischer’s “Post-It Notes” Bra

Wired Magazine’s creative director Scott Dadich sounds off on The Office’s Jenna Fischer’s nakedness in the Wired April 2007 issue:

“The April cover of WIRED features a package of stories about radical transparency, our notion that the next model of business success is laying your company bare to the world—sharing secrets with your rivals, blogging about ideas as you have them, and copping to fumbles and foibles as you make them. The concept was crisp, but we all struggled with how to portray a pretty complex idea in the three-second visual byte that is the modern magazine cover. If you’re talking about transparency, the obvious metaphor is clear: you’re naked.

So of course, WIRED being WIRED, we wanted a cover that was smart and showy. And as Creative Director I wanted something that hadn’t been done before. We settled on the idea of printing on clear acetate. But it had to be interactive. Now you’re in a business suit—now you’re not.

Then we wrestled with the question of how to best show the real goings on inside the modern American office. How about using “The Office” as a model? And who would we like to see practicing what we’re preaching? Dwight? Ehhh…notsomuch. Of course, Pam. So we called NBC and pitched our idea and Jenna Fischer (thankfully!) liked the idea.

Michael Elins photographed her in Los Angeles in a dingy little studio. And yes, the whole thing is real; we shot it in two parts, Jenna in her business suit and her birthday suit (really). She was a great sport about the whole thing. Funny and endearing.

And no, I don’t have outtakes.”

Darn, no outtakes!!!!!!

Jenna Fischer: Nude in ‘Wired’

Every Dunderhead is going to get Wired over these!

Jenna Fischer, aka Pam Beesly from The Office, drops her clothes and gets naked as the cover girl for the April 2007 issue of Wired. Here’s the blurb naked Jenna is holding up in her cover shot:

GET NAKED AND RULE THE WORLD Smart companies are sharing secrets with rivals, blogging about products in their pipeline, even admitting to their failures. The name of this new game is radical transparency, and it’s sweeping boardrooms across the nation. Even those Office drones at Dunder Mifflin get it. So strip down and learn how to have it all by baring it all.

If you’ll notice, Jenna’s face in identical in both cover shots. The million dollar question — did Jenna pose nude or did the Wired staff digitally undress her. “Radical Transparency,” perhaps?
