The transatlantic pair are used to separations - Jennifer’s last film took her to Mozambique and South Africa - but join each other on set whenever possible. Their children Stellan, who’s three, and nine-year-old Kai, Jennifer’s son from a previous relationship, often go along, too.

And their parents’ artistic bent is obviously rubbing off on the kids. “We’ve already done plays together. Very short plays,” says the mother-of-two. “Kai dictates them to me. Sometimes he casts me, sometimes he doesn’t. And when I’m in the play, he’ll sometimes say to me, ‘No Mom, you didn’t say that right!’.”

The much-anticipated film Reservation Road starring Jennifer Connelly opens nationwide on Nov. 9 and co-stars Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Ruffalo, Mira Sorvino, and Elle Fanning.

Sarah Jessica Parker (sans Matthew Broderick), Jennifer Connelly and hubby Paul Bettany were among the many big name celebrities to check out Vanity Fair supremo Graydon Carter’s restaurant Waverly Inn in NYC’s West Village on Wednesday night.

The New York Observer calls Waverly Inn the “latest clubhouse to the rich and famous… a fashionable, exclusive, clublike restaurant.”

And according to Page Six, Interview editor Ingrid Sischy dined with Calvin Klein, who was seated at the table next to Ralph Lauren.

Said P6’s insider, “Ralph walked right up to Calvin and shook his hand.”

Co-stars Jennifer Connelly, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Djimon Hounsou arrived yesterday night for the European premiere of their film Blood Diamond in Odeon Leicester Square, London. Blood Diamond opens this Friday in the UK.

Jennifer Connelly is the face of Marie Claire for January 2007. The model-turned-actress is still filming her next movie, Reservation Road, alongside actor Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Ruffalo, and Mira Sorvino. I just love these photos of her from Marie Claire. Do take some time out and view them.

Reservation Road is about two families (Learner and Arno) that become intertwined when the father from one kills the son of the other in a hit-and-run accident. The film is directed by Terry George (Hotel Rwanda). The movie is set to be released on November 9, 2007.

Jennifer Connelly seemed to have tucked away her possible baby bump for the Hollywood premiere of her new film Blood Diamond at Grauman’s Chinese Theater last night. Blood Diamond co-starsLeonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou and was directed by Edward Zwick, who was also on hand. Everybody still thinks Jennifer’s pregnant or is her baby bump hiding behind her belt?

The family that dresses together, stays together!

Jennifer Connelly hubby Paul Bettany, and 3-year-old son Stellan Bettany dressed in their matching hooded bubble coats and ran a few errands together this past Sunday. The Bettanys did their grocery shopping at Union Market located at 754-756 Union Street (Corner of 6th Ave and Park Slope).

Jennifer, who is rumored to be pregnant again, has a new movie, Blood Diamond, coming out this Friday co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou.

They may have put her in a cage, but here’s an actress who won’t be tamed. It took years for Jennifer Connelly to teach the world that she was a serious actress. And, as she discovered while working in Africa on her latest film, it took acting for her to learn some serious lessons about the world. She takes the Dec 2006/Jan 2007 issue of Interview Magazine. So Jennifer, where are you? Are you in the middle of a film? Yes. I’m in the middle of working on Reservation Road, which we’ve been shooting in Stamford, Connecticut. But right now, it being Sunday, I’m in Vermont, with the family. I’ve been working nights and finished on Saturday morning and the kids slept in the trailer at work. As soon as I wrapped, we piled them in the car, in their pajamas, and came up here in the middle of the night.

Was that your last day of filming, or was it just the end of the week? No, it was just the end of the week. I’m due back at 4:45 in the morning tomorrow. We’re back to working days.

Boy, easy life, huh? [laughs] I don’t want to make it sound like, “Woe is me, isn’t this horrible?” It’s a fabulous life.

How many kids do you have now? Still just the two.

How old is the youngest one? Stellan is three.

The last time I “officially” saw him you were breast feeding him at the cover shoot we did together for our February 2004 issue. Yep. He’s moved on from those days. Now he’s running around from one really horrible store-bought superhero costume to another. You never know. Power Rangers. Batman. Spider-Man. It’s amazing that with such little exposure to these characters, they still really take hold of kids’ imaginations.
