The Jackson family today announced the participants for the Michael Jackson memorial for Tuesday (July 7) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The family’s rep revealed the list to JustJared.com: Ron Boyd (family friend); Kobe Bryant; Mariah Carey; Andrae Crouch Choir; Berry Gordy; Jennifer Hudson; Shaheen Jafargholi (finalist on Britain’s Got Talent); Magic Johnson; Martin Luther King III; Bernice A. King; John Mayer; Lionel Richie; Smokey Robinson; Rev. Al Sharpton; Brooke Shields (pictured here); Pastor Lucious Smith (family friend); Usher; and Stevie Wonder.

A baby shower was thrown for Jennifer Hudson on Saturday (May 30) at a relative’s home in downtown Chicago, reports Chicago Tribune.

Jennifer’s singer/actress pal Felicia Fields, reveals, “It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had. They don’t know [the gender]. More yellow.”

Also in town was her fiance, former reality TV star David Otunga, who’s currently pursuing a pro wrestling career.

Jennifer Hudson performs her hit songs “Spotlight” and “If This Isn’t Love” on the Today Show at NYC’s Rockefeller Center on Friday (May 15).

Last October, the 27-year-old singer’s brother-in-law William Balfour allegedly shot Jennifer’s mother, Darnell Donerson; her brother Jason Hudson; and her 7-year-old nephew, Julian King.

“In this time when things seem so uncertain for her, there is certainty in our bond,” her fiance David Otunga told Essence. “She doesn’t have to worry about losing me. I’m always going to be right here.”

“The thing that keeps me going is knowing that God is in control,” Jennifer says. “It’s like, if he placed me here, then I must be prepared.”

Jennifer Hudson is pregnant, two sources confirm to Essence.

The 27-year-old former American Idol contestant is engaged to David Otunga, a Harvard Law graduate and former contestant on reality show I Love New York 2. Jennifer is currently touring with Robin Thicke and their next show is April 23 at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jennifer’s manager and publicist have denied these pregnancy rumors but congrats to the happy couple if the rumors are true!!!

Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson will co-headline a five-week U.S. tour with R&B singer Robin Thicke.

“I am so grateful – my first Grammy and my first tour. It doesn’t get better than that,” Jennifer told People.

The tour will kick off her on April 2 in Philadelphia and wrap in Houston on May 8. Other concert stops include Baltimore, Washington, D.C, New York City, Detroit, Atlanta, Memphis, St. Louis, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Dallas.

Jennifer Hudson gets sandwiched in by country crooner Faith Hill and pop-classical singer Josh Groban backstage at the 2009 MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute to Neil Diamond at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday (February 6) in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old Grammy-nominated singer performed her own rendition of Neil’s “Holly Holy.” Jennifer is a contender for Best R&B Album, Best R&B Female Vocal Performance for “Spotlight”, Best R&B Song for “Spotlight”, and Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “I’m His Only Woman” featuring Fantasia.
