CW boss Mark Pedowitz recently shared that this coming season of Supernatural is “not intended” to be the last one.

“We’ll see where the ratings go. I personally hope, and everybody at the CW hopes, that this show keeps on going. So for the moment we’re looking at it one season at a time,” he explained (via E! Online).

The guys made an appearance at Comic-Con last month and revealed a little about what we can expect on the new season of the show.

“I think we know from the end of last season that there is a big shift in the character Castiel [Misha Collins]. That proves to be a big, big problem for the guys. Not only has this new, all-powerful being appeared, but it has also taken away the only ally they had in that realm. With that transfer of power, there is a big fallout of that,” Jensen said.

The 33-year-old actor is directing the seventh season’s third episode, but it’s the first episode being shot so that Jensen would have time to prepare.

This isn’t the first time that Jensen‘s stepped behind the camera – he also directed “Weekend at Bobby’s” in the show’s sixth season!

The episode Jensen‘s directing is written by Andrew Dabb and Daniel Loftin, who also penned “Weekend at Bobby’s”.
