Jessica Alba keeps it super shy, covering up her new bangs with her hand and oversized beanie as she travels through LAX airport in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Alba was accompanied by her mom, Catherine Jensen, who worked out bangs of her own. Catherine was protective of her daughter, keeping either her arm around Alba or holding her hand, guiding her to their waiting car.

Her latest film, Awake, put the box office to sleep this past weekend. The film debuted at number four with $6 million.

Jessica Alba does some late afternoon NYC shopping in SoHo on Friday.

The 26-year-old Fantastic actress picked up a few items as she stopped off at the Calvin Klein Underwear store on Prince Street and the Yohji Yamamoto store on Grand Street.

Jessica’s new thriller Awake about anesthesia awareness opens this weekend. The film also stars Hayden Christensen, Terrence Howard and Lena Olin. No major publications have reviewed the film yet and it so far as garnered a pathetic 9% on RottenTomatoes. Yikes!

Even Maxim says, “The filmmakers of Awake have crafted a domestic thriller that just may end up putting you ASLEEP.” Zzzzz.

Jessica Alba and her lookalike stunt double Taryn Dakha go shopping together down Bloor Street in Toronto, Canada on Sunday.

The pair stopped off at Sephora for some beauty products and then hit up Leg’s Beautiful (store selling women’s hosiery, stockings and tights).

Jessica, 26, met Taryn, 27, two years ago on the set of Fantastic Four.

Ms. Alba is currently in Toronto shooting the new Mike Myers comedy The Love Guru with Justin Timberlake and Verne Troyer.

Jessica Alba keeps it classy in a sheer black lace Marchesa dress at the New York premiere of her new movie Awake presented by The New York Observer at NYC’s Chelsea West Cinema on Wednesday.

“I like turkey, I like stuffing, I like candied yams. I like to cook it all,” Alba told InStyle in anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Jessica Alba plays a game of “Operation” on Tuesday’s TRL at the MTV Times Square Studios in New York City. Singer Alicia Keys and MTV VJ Damien Fahey were also in the studio to play along.

The Fantastic actress paid homage to Steve McQueen, “The King of Cool,” by wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with his face on it.

Jessica, 26, promoted her new drama thriller Awake costarring Hayden Christensen and spy mommy Lena Olin. The film will be released in theaters nationwide on November 30th.

Jessica Alba is being courted to star in a Broadway revival of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow in the spring, according to The NY Post.

Speed-the-Plow is a satirical dissection of the American movie business and although Alba doesn’t have any stage experience whatsoever, Broadway still wants her! Sounds perfect for her since she pokes fun of Hollywood anyway…

The play was first performed by the Lincoln Center Theater at NYC’s Royale Theater in 1988, with Madonna in the cast. Yes, that Madonna. She too had no stage experience when she took the role of secretary Karen.

In the comedy, Pitka (Myers) is an American who was left at the gates of an ashram in India as a child and raised by gurus. He moves back to the U.S. to seek fame and fortune in the world of self-help and spirituality. His unorthodox methods are put to the test when he must settle a rift between Toronto Maple Leafs star hockey player Darren Roanoke (Romany Malco) and his estranged wife. After the split, Roanoke’s wife starts dating L.A. Kings star Jacques Grande (Justin Timberlake) out of revenge, sending her husband into a major professional skid — to the horror of the teams’ owner Jane Bullard (Alba) and Coach Cherkov (Verne Troyer). Pitka must return the couple to marital nirvana and get Roanoke back on his game so the team can break the 40-year-old “Bullard Curse” and win the Stanley Cup.
