Jessica Biel gets into her car after spending some time at a friend’s house in Los Angeles on Tuesday (May 26).

The 27-year-old actress describes her preparation process for her role in Easy Virtue, where she plays Larita Whittaker, a glamorous American widow and racecar driver. “I looked at a lot of old Katharine Hepburn movies for that kill-’em-with-a-smile, fantastic, witty, dry delivery,” Biel told MTV News, adding that she also studied Jean Harlow for her “sex appeal, diva quality.”

“Stepping into the room for the read-through, I was freaking out,” Biel said. “I’m the only American. I’m just sitting there feeling weird and out of place.”

On co-starring alongside Justin in a movie: “If it was the right thing, yeah. I would love to co-star with Justin. I just don’t know what the right thing is, though. ”

On her singing aspirations: “I know nobody really knows this about me, but I really started in musical theater doing Annie and The Sound of Music. I wanted to be Whitney Houston. That was my dream.”

On her plans these next few months: “I auditioned for a summer production of Guys and Dolls at the Hollywood Bowl. I thought, ‘Well, I’m not a soprano anymore, but I guess I’ll go in for it.’ I literally walked in and said, ‘I can do this song but we’re going to have to drop it down a few notes.’ Actually, I did pretty well and I got the part of Sandy, which I’ll be performing later this summer.

Justin Timberlake comes out to support his leading lady, actress Jessica Biel, at the after-party for her new movie, Easy Virtue, at New York City’s Gramercy Park Hotel on Monday night (April 12).

Biel’s costar Ben Barnes did admit he was a little intimidated by Mr. JT. Barnes shared, “[Timberlake] did come onto the set one day and it happened to be the day that we were dancing. I don’t pride myself on my dancing, it’s not my best talent. It was nerve-wracking to have him there, watching me with one eyebrow raised, dancing with his woman, very badly.”

Justin Timberlake and girlfriend Jessica Biel (in Versace Atelier) walk the red carpet at the “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).

The 28-year-old singer will join Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs and Anna Wintour in hosting the annual gala.

Justin Timberlake locks arms with his girlfriend Jessica Biel prior to the 12th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women at Times Square on Saturday morning (May 2) in New York City.

Biel, 27, hosted the event alongside fellow Revlon brand ambassadors Jennifer Connelly and Jessica Alba, along with NBC late night host Jimmy Fallon. The 5K race started in Times Square and finished in Central Park.
