The cast of CW’s cult hit Gossip Girl is featured in the August issue of Vanity Fair, which names “Hollywood’s New Wave” of stars.

Notice how on-and-off-screen couple Blake and Penn have their arms tightly wrapped around each other!
Joining Blake on the latest cover of Vanity Fair are actresses Kristen Stewart, Emma Roberts and Amanda Seyfried.
When Penn was asked if he preferred Chuck Taylors or Nikes, he answered, “PF Flyers.”

On-and-off-screen couple Blake Lively (in Dolce & Gabbana) and Penn Badgley look positively sun-kissed at the CW Network’s Upfronts at Lincoln Center on Tuesday in New York City.
The Gossip Girl costars recently came back from a lovefest in Mexico this past weekend!
“It’s the first show we developed exclusively for the CW,” President of Entertainment of The CW Dawn Ostroff said of Gossip Girl. “It’s amazing the kind of press and attention that it’s gotten. We asked, wow, do we take that building block to build other franchises? We’ll be able to create a real brand with pop culture, buzz-worthy shows.”

Wedding Bells For Gossip Girl Tue, 29 April 2008
The cast of Gossip Girl film a the wedding scene on a rainy Tuesday in New York City.
If you’ve been following the show, wedding bells are ringing for Lily van der Woodsen (Serena’s mom, played by Kelly Rutherford) and Bart Bass (Chuck’s father, played by Robert John Burke).
Spotted on set: Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Jessica Szohr, Penn Badgley and Leighton Meester. They all started filming this scene last Wednesday at NYC’s Palace Hotel.
