Elle Fanning strikes a pose at Paramount Pictures Super 8 DVD & Blu-ray Release Party held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Tuesday (November 22) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 13-year-old actress met up with her co-stars and the director of the film, J.J. Abrams, at the fun event.

Elle is reportedly set to star opposite Alessandro Nivola in the upcoming film Bomb.

In the project, directed by Sally Potter, Elle would play a teenage rebel “who wants to save the world from nuclear annihilation, but as the cold war meets the sexual revolution, it’s her family that threatens to explode,” Deadline reports.

FYI: Elle is wearing a Miu Miu ivory+pink short-sleeve sweater with dog-motif beaded embroidery, black lana tricot trousers, and black paillette mary-jane flats with crystal heels.

Chris Pine meets up with director J.J. Abrams at the premiere after party for Super 8 on Wednesday (June 8) at Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, Calif.

Earlier in the evening, Jaime King hit the black carpet in Proenza Schouler with husband Kyle Newman.

After the premiere, the couple hit the grand opening of Lexington Social House in Hollywood.

Chris first showed off his scruffy beard last week while leaving Papaya King with a group of friends.

Elle Fanning and Kyle Chandler have been cast in the top-secret and highly-buzzed about upcoming film Super 8, NYMag reports.

No word on which characters the 12-year-old younger sister of Dakota Fanning and the 45-year-old Friday Night Lights star will be playing, but production starts this fall and the sci-fi flick is expected to hit theaters next summer.

Even the plot is still a mystery but the trailer seems to hint at some kind of alien presence!

Steven Spielberg will be producing while Lost creator J.J. Abrams will step behind the camera to direct.

J.J. Abrams is joining forces with The Dark Knight co-writer Jonah Nolan for a new crime thriller TV series!

The Alias and Lost creator is shopping around the series with Jonah, who is the brother of The Dark Knight/Inception writer Christopher Nolan, according to EW.

Jonah also co-wrote The Prestige and the short story Memento was based on!

An insider tells EW that one network is “extremely interested” in the project.

J.J. Abrams has a new drama for NBC’s upcoming season!

Undercovers stars English actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Boris Kodjoe (Madea’s Family Reunion, Surrogates) as retired and married CIA agents who get called back in to duty after leaving the spy world behind.

“We have tremendous confidence in this promising series and feel this is a great way to kick off our upcoming Upfront development announcements,” NBC Universal Chairman Jeff Gaspin said (via THR). “J.J. has delivered another signature series along with our partners at Warner Bros and we couldn’t be happier.”

Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams are all smiles at the “Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film” event held at Los Angeles’ Wilshire Ebell Theatre on Thursday (March 5).

The 47-year-old actor presented J.J. with the Oscar Wilde for his outstanding work over the past year, calling him “a filmmaker who doesn’t set borders – a great guy and an incredible artist,” according to the BBC.

J.J. also gave a sneak peek at what to expect from Mission: Impossible IV: “We have a really cool idea that we’re playing with and I’m looking forward to that coming to pass,” he said (via UKPA). “[T]here definitely will be a European presence but there’s a whole crazy story, it’s definitely a jet setting movie.”
