John Mayer arrived at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami Beach at 12:30 p.m. today, reports Life & Style.

“John came in with another man who looked like a personal trainer,” an eyewitness spills. John was in long gray shorts and a green T-shirt, and he was holding a water bottle. He looked like he had just finished a workout. His hair was still in its new signature cut, and he was in a great mood.”

In Touch is also reporting that after filming for three months in Miami, Aniston has big plans for the wrap party of Marley & Me. The celebration will reportedly take place at Nikki Beach in Coconut Grove on May 10, where John Mayer will perform a special three-song set.

“Everything was changed last minute so John could do this for her. He’s crazy about Jen.” another insider says. “It’s hot and heavy but in that very cool way. John isn’t gong to hide his adoration and he’s telling everyone what a cool chick Jen is.”

John Mayer opened up at yesterday Met’s Costume Institute Gala about the photos of him and Jennifer Aniston in Miami. Here’s what he told multiple media outlets:

Entertainment Tonight: “Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control. This is me living my life and a guy with a really powerful lens and I don’t fault him, I don’t fault anybody, I don’t fault you, I don’t fault this or that. There are much worse problems in the world. Everything’s cool!”

Extra: “I don’t mean to deny it, but sort of deflect it. You have the photograph. You think it’s photo-shopped?”

Associated Press: “[I give the pics a] double thumbs up. “You know what I did? I looked at it and I said, ‘That’s about right.’ What am I going to say, ‘That’s not me’? You carry on and you enjoy yourself and you continue to live with dignity and everyone has fun.”

The 30-year-old musician then decided to blog about it in another tongue-in-cheek entry: “Today I set off on my newest project; to grow and maintain an authentic ’80s style feathered haircut. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for some time and I’m very excited to bring this amazing look into today’s pop culture landscape. The feathered cut projects an attitude of ease and quiet confidence that seems to have all but eluded our generation. This is a work in progress, and as my hair grows longer it will serve to become a more stirring and poignant statement.”

The 30-year-old musician then headed to the Upper East Side, where he did a little shopping at Giorgio Armani. But before going, John whipped out his hairbrush and styled his hair a bit more before going in.

“They already miss each other,” a source close to Mayer tells People.

Adds another source, also close to the singer: “It’s very real. They’ve been seeing each other for a few weeks now.”

Jen, 39, and John, 30, shared a poolside bed at the Mandarin Oriental’s private beach club on April 24.

“They were very close to one another,” a witness tells In Touch. “They were cozy. It was obvious they have something for each other.”

“John was the one more into the moment,” adds the witness. “He was paying more attention to her than she was to him.”

Mayer flew to Miami on April 23 and checked into the Four Seasons hotel, but that’s not where he spent most of his time!

The 30-year-old musician instead spent most of his time in the $3,000-a-night presidential suite at the Mandarin Oriental, where Aniston has been staying while shooting the movie Marley & Me.

The pair were inseparable over the long weekend, cuddling poolside and sharing meals together. They even had dinner together at Miami’s Café Sambal on Saturday, April 27.

When asked how he was doing, after spending four days with his new love, John smiled and said, “My weekend was good.”

Musician John Mayer and actress Jennifer Aniston shared a private lunch on Friday afternoon in Miami.

John, 30, and Jennifer, 39, reportedly sat across from each other in a booth with their heads were close together, having a private conversation.

“I was happy to accommodate them,” said Charles Bell, general manager of Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink in the Miami Design District. Bell told People they opened their doors for the pair early at 3:30 p.m. for the 90-minute meal.

“I can’t speculate on what kind of meeting it was but they looked happy and seemed to have a great time,” he said.

The pair was also later in the day at Casa Tua on South Beach. They left the restaurant a bit before 1 a.m.
