John Mayer arrives at “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” - Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday.

After getting his hair cut and styled, John Mayer quickly logged onto the Internets to check out the latest pictures paparazzi shot of his new hairdo.

The 30-year-old musician then decided to blog about it in another tongue-in-cheek entry: “Today I set off on my newest project; to grow and maintain an authentic ’80s style feathered haircut. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for some time and I’m very excited to bring this amazing look into today’s pop culture landscape. The feathered cut projects an attitude of ease and quiet confidence that seems to have all but eluded our generation. This is a work in progress, and as my hair grows longer it will serve to become a more stirring and poignant statement.”

John Mayer stops by a hair salon to get a new hairdo in the Meatpacking District neighborhood of New York City on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old musician then headed to the Upper East Side, where he did a little shopping at Giorgio Armani. But before going, John whipped out his hairbrush and styled his hair a bit more before going in.

“They already miss each other,” a source close to Mayer tells People.

Adds another source, also close to the singer: “It’s very real. They’ve been seeing each other for a few weeks now.”

Jen, 39, and John, 30, shared a poolside bed at the Mandarin Oriental’s private beach club on April 24.

“They were very close to one another,” a witness tells In Touch. “They were cozy. It was obvious they have something for each other.”

“John was the one more into the moment,” adds the witness. “He was paying more attention to her than she was to him.”

John Mayer is crazy about Jennifer Aniston and In Touch has the photos to prove it!

Mayer flew to Miami on April 23 and checked into the Four Seasons hotel, but that’s not where he spent most of his time!

The 30-year-old musician instead spent most of his time in the $3,000-a-night presidential suite at the Mandarin Oriental, where Aniston has been staying while shooting the movie Marley & Me.

The pair were inseparable over the long weekend, cuddling poolside and sharing meals together. They even had dinner together at Miami’s Café Sambal on Saturday, April 27.

When asked how he was doing, after spending four days with his new love, John smiled and said, “My weekend was good.”

Musician John Mayer and actress Jennifer Aniston shared a private lunch on Friday afternoon in Miami.

John, 30, and Jennifer, 39, reportedly sat across from each other in a booth with their heads were close together, having a private conversation.

“I was happy to accommodate them,” said Charles Bell, general manager of Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink in the Miami Design District. Bell told People they opened their doors for the pair early at 3:30 p.m. for the 90-minute meal.

“I can’t speculate on what kind of meeting it was but they looked happy and seemed to have a great time,” he said.

The pair was also later in the day at Casa Tua on South Beach. They left the restaurant a bit before 1 a.m.

Cameron Diaz shows she’s in especially good spirits outside a funeral home in Los Angeles on Monday.

Just yesterday, Cam, 35, was also in a good mood at the “Celebration of Life” memorial in honor of her father, Emilio, who passed away on Tuesday from pneumonia. The party was held at Mahé restaurant in Los Angeles. Guests included ex-boyfriends Justin Timberlake and John Mayer.

In lieu of flowers, Ms. Diaz has suggested donations be made to Surfrider.org or Reefcheck.org in Emilio’s name.

John Mayer eats at Dan Tanas in West Hollywood with some guy friends on Thursday.

Earlier this week, the 30-year-old musician who has previously been romantically linked to Jessica Simpson and Cameron Diaz, was seen with Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger, 29, at a Los Angeles nightclub Villa last week.

John’s 2008 summer tour will begin July 2 at Milwaukee’s Summerfest.

Also this summer, a new CD/DVD & Blu-Ray package will hit stores, featuring a December 2007 show at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre.
