John Mayer updates his blog to wish his sound engineer pal a Happy Birthday. Apparently, John feels Chad’s body is a wonderland!

GAP is launching their new ad campaign called “Classics Redefined,” as photographed by Annie Leibovitz. The 12 black-and-white portraits will run in the September issues of national magazines including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Lucky, Interview, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and GQ.

Musician John Mayer, wearing a $39.50 sweater vest, actor Ken Watanabe wearing a tailored white shirt ($39.50), and actress Selma Blair wearing the “deep V” sweater ($44.50).

Other celebs in the new GAP ads: Forest Whitaker, Lucy Liu, Liev Schreiber, Regina King, Davis Guggenheim, Twyla Tharp, Marcel Wanders and Ami Onuki and Yumi Yoshimura of Puffy AmiYumi.

John Mayer went to Georgia back in April with then-girlfriend Jessica Simpson to shoot this exclusive photo shoot and interview with GQ magazine.

On the hardest part of a long-distance relationship: That’s a relationship question. I have to watch out for myself. I’ve gotta play defensive ball. I’m on douche-bag land-mine aversion duty right now.

On not caring about his image anymore: I’m actually finished with that part of my image—with caring about that part of my image. I’m kind of at my quietest that I’ve ever been. And I’m at my happiest I’ve ever been. I do not take the outside world into my house with me. I just don’t care anymore. It’s vapor. When somebody wants to take a picture of you coming out of a restaurant, it doesn’t matter. Whether you save a falling baby’s life or whether you fall yourself on the ground drunk, it’s gone, lost in the sea of DUIs and crotch shots. And it just doesn’t matter.

On keeping his fans informed: What does matter is answering your fans, letting them know you exist still in the same way you always did, that the names change and the dollar values go up but you still exist in the same timeline of a person as you always did. That you still love playing music, you still know right from wrong, you can still smell bullshit like anyone else can.

Celebrities apparently came out in droves to see Your Body is A Wonderland singerJohn Mayer in concert last night.

Not only did Shakira and Penelope Cruz catch Mayer in concert at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Saturday, so did Heroes co-star pals Hayden Panettiere and Zachary Quinto and former Desperate Housewives gardener Jesse Metcalfe, who appears to go from hot to not in five seconds flat.

All the celebrities made their way to party central post-concert, hitting up Parc nightclub for a little after-party bash for Mayer.

Despite calling it quits over a week ago, Jessica Simpson and John Mayer spent Memorial Day weekend together in Los Cabos, Mexico,

The on-again-off-again couple seemed to be trying to work things out, spending about 45 minutes talking by the terrace of their $2,400/night villa their rented by the Sea of Cortez.

John reportedly stormed off by the end of the conversation, leaving Jessica alone by the ledge. She does seem really distraught but we hope she’s okay!

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have split, sources close to the couple have confirmed.

Mayer, 29, was the one who reportedly pulled the plug on the pair’s 9-month-long relationship this past weekend. The couple last stepped out together at the Costume Institute Gala in NYC earlier this month.

Jessica , 26, was last spotted at the Nike party on Thursday night in Cannes, France, where she is promoting her new film Major Movie Star.

Halfway around the world, rumored ex-beau John Mayer partied through the wee hours of the night at NYC’s Stereo nightclub, where DJ AM was spinning.

Mayer stood sandwiched between club owner Michael Satsky and comedian Sherrod Small most of the night, chatting occasionally with one brunette lady friend.

“He looked extremely happy partying like he was single,” said one Stereo clubgoer. “And there was one woman who looked overly friendly.”

Could this be John Mayer’s new lady friend??
