Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Body is a Wonderland Fri, 25 April 2008
Joseph Gordon-Levitt gave some very interesting answers in his latest interview with UK’s bimonthly magazine, Wonderland.
Do you Google yourself? Yes. It was a triumphant day for me about a year ago when my website hitrecord.org came up first on the Google page under my name. I make short films and put them on there. Now I think it’s number four.
So although you’re playing Cobra Commander in the G.I. Joe movie for Paramount, you were never allowed to play with G.I. Joe dolls as a kid? That’s right. No toys that had guns. But I got to know a lot of soldiers through Stop-Loss and I learnt what it means to be one. No matter what you feel about America’s occupation of Iraq, it’s important to distinguish that, in a way, what those soldiers do is the bravest thing a human being can do: they put their lives on the line for each other. I’ve never risked my life for anything.
What is your drug of choice? I guess marijuana. I’ve had a select set of really beautiful, powerful, psychedelic experiences on certain drugs but I never got into just doing it at a party: ‘Oh let’s get f—ed up and drop acid’. That’s so retarded and disrespectful to your body and the drug itself. Mushrooms, acid and ecstasy can offer you a new perspective. They can also offer you nothing.

Stop-Loss Movie Poster Thu, 17 January 2008
Ryan Phillippe, Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt look smoking hot in the just-released movie poster for the Kimberly Peirce-directed film Stop-Loss, out March 28th. Bigger movie poster here.
Costar Abbie Cornish (pictured) has been romantically linked to Ryan and is rumored to be the cause of Reese and Ryan’s divorce.
Plotline via Wiki: Decorated Iraq war hero Sgt. Brandon King (Phillippe) makes a celebrated return to his small Texas hometown following his tour of duty. He tries to resume the life he left behind with the help and support of his family and his best friend, Steve Shriver (Tatum), who served with him in Iraq. Along with their other war buddies, Brandon and Steve try to make peace with civilian life. Then, against Brandon’s will, the Army orders him back to duty in Iraq using the “stop-loss” procedure, which upends his world. The conflict tests everything he believes in: the bond of family, the loyalty of friendship, the limits of love and the value of honor.
Ryan Phillippe is a Stop-Loss Stud Wed, 19 September 2007
Stop-Loss studs Ryan Phillippe, Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt show off fashion’s shades of gray in the October 2007 issue of Esquire.
Said director Kimberly Peirce, “Ryan had to not only depict a real-life soldier; he had to earn his stripes as the leader of the cast — I was happy to hear that after boot camp let out and the guys descended into mad partying, Ryan carried one drunk actor (who’ll go unnamed) to his hotel and made sure the rest of his men made it home safe.”
Stop-Loss hits theaters nationwide on March 28, 2008.
