Las Vegas hunk Josh Duhamel shows off his Optimus Prime t-shirt while flying the press circuit solo during the Transformers press conference and premiere in Tokyo on Monday and Tuesday.

The robots flick continues to haul in cash, earning a domestic total of $263+ million.

Co-star Shia LaBeouf has been busy filming the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones adventures. Megan Fox has been busy filming How to Lose Friends & Alienate People with Kirsten Dunst and Gillian Anderson.

Transformers will open on August 4 in Japan.

The promotion for Transformers is in high gear!

Megan Fox (shoudler feather) arrived at the premiere of Transformers held at Mann’s Village Theater on Wednesday in Westwood, California. Other castmates who attended included: Shia LeBeouf, Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel. Director Michael Bay was also present.

Other pictures include the cast of Transformers at the Empire Leicester Square on Friday in London, England.

Josh Duhamel is the August 2007 cover boy for Best Life magazine. The Transformers star is ready to show to Hollywood that he’s more than just a hunk, he’s an actor.

• On showing Hollywood he’s more than just a pretty face: “It always feels like I have to prove myself to be more than what people think they see. That’s part of what I’m fighting right now. People don’t know what you’re capable of until you actually do it.”
• On his love, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas: “She’s a real total star. I’m more subdued than that. I’d rather sneak up on people. But that’s what makes us work. We have similar fundamental values. We both grew up in similar families. She’s just got a great soul.”
• His philosophy on relationships and career: “Let’s not f*** it all up! [chuckles] There’s still so much more I want to do. Before it was about gaining confidence. Now it’s about gaining some respect for what I do. Get that, and everything you want will come along with it because people will want to work with you.”
• On how he got his Transformers gig: “In the second season of Las Vegas, I had this heavy episode in which my character comes back from Iraq. Everyone in my platoon had died except for me, so I put a lot into it. I wanted it to be more than what was on the page. Then I heard Steven Spielberg was pushing for me to get this role in Transformers [Spielberg is the executive producer]. I called his office and told his assistant who I was. She put Steven right on the phone. I said, ‘I don’t know what I did to have any pull from you, but thank you.’ And he said, ‘Well, I was thinking about that episode you did on Vegas, when you came back from the war.’ I was like, God, it’s so true! Nothing you do falls on deaf ears. Somebody is always watching.”

Do you have a favorite summertime activity? Yeah, there are a lot of things I like to do in the summer: there’s golf, or going to the beach or going to a lake cabin.

Are you more of a lake or beach person? Lake. Growing up in North Dakota you don’t have much access to the ocean, so the lakes are nice and calm which is more my style.

Who are your role models? One of my biggest role models also is my Auntie Barb who’s done more in her life than anybody that I know. She’s been a nurse, and she’s been part of the National Guard for thirty years now. She’s been over to Kosovo and Bosnia and now she’s going to Iraq and she just finished law school and she’s an RN and she’s amazing. So I guess she’s the kind of person that if I want to make anyone proud, it’s her.

And I’m no make-up expert but does Duhamel have too much make-up applied to his face?

Josh Duhamel drops by Live with Regis & Kelly on Friday morning to hype up the season finale of Las Vegas, which airs tonight @ 9PM on NBC.

Regis was on vacation, so Kelly Ripa’s hottie husband Mark Consuelos filled in as co-host.

Josh, 34, dishes on the recent paparazzi pictures of him “adjusting” girlfriend Fergie’s thong in Cancun, Mexico while on hiatus from filming Las Vegas.

Josh denies being engaged to Fergie. He also touches on upon the upcoming Transformers film and the Las Vegas season finale.
