Josh Hartnett was rushed to the emergency room at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles early Monday morning (March 30).
The 30-year-old actor had severe abdominal pains and was picked up by medics at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. He walked into the ambulance by himself at around 1:30am. His publicist tells ET that Josh was kept for observation because of a gastrointestinal disorder.

Josh Hartnett signs some autographs for fans as he leaves the Apollo Theater on Monday, where he has been appearing in the play Rain Man in London.
Sienna Miller and Josh Hartnett were recently spotted together at Shoreditch House, an exclusive East London bar.
“They definitely looked like a couple - and a good looking one at that! At one point, they were holding hands across the table, but they quickly hid them underneath,” a source said of Josh and Sienna. “They looked really cosy as they dined, gazing into each other’s eyes, smiling and laughing. There was definitely a buzz in the air.”

The pair never walked beside each other but wound up at Hartnett’s hotel after partying together.
Mischa, 22, recently split from musician boyfriend Taylor Locke. Josh, 30, is in town acting in the West End show Rain Man, and has already been recently seen together with Daisy Lowe (DJ Mark Ronson’s ex).

Beanie boy Josh Hartnett is seen leaving London’s Apollo Theatre after rehearsals for his upcoming stint in the new West End show Rain Man on Wednesday.
Hartnett stars in the stage version of the 1988 Oscar-winning film Rain Man in London, with performances beginning on Aug. 28 with an official opening scheduled for Sept. 9.
The Black Hawk Down star plays Charlie Babbitt (originally played on screen by Tom Cruise).

On Wednesday, Josh attended the premiere and after-party for his new movie, August, at the Soho Grand Hotel. Actress pals Kirsten Dunst and Susan Sarandon came out to support him (both pictured below).
August, which opened in NYC theaters today, focuses on two brothers, ambitious dot-com entrepreneurs attempting to keep their company afloat as the stock market begins to collapse in August 2001, one month prior to the 9/11 attacks. Adam Scott plays Hartnett’s brother in the movie.

The film first debuted at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
Josh, 29, is currently filming Bunraku, where he plays a lone drifter who comes to town seeking revenge, but soon finds himself up against a bigger challenge than he originally planned.

The 29-year-old actor recently said that he refuses to let a stuntman take over his dangerous feats on set because he believes getting hurt is part of his job.
“I soldier on,” he said. “I don’t like to disappoint anyone, or let them down. I’ve had glandular fever and I’ve still gone on to the set, even though my throat was raging and my mind was saying to me, ‘Hey Josh, shouldn’t you have had this in your teens?’ There have been times when I’ve broken knuckles in screen fights, and once I broke a blood vessel in my eye.
“But you don’t quibble about that stuff, you just get on with it and accept it as part of the business - especially when you don’t like using stuntmen to do your job for you.”

For the millionth time, Rihanna squashes rumors that she’s dating actor Josh Harnett.
This is the fake quote Rihanna supposedly gave at the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo last weekend: “I would be lying if I told you [Josh and I] were not more than just friends. I have so fallen for him, he is lovely. He is so hot and he is really sweet to me. When we hang out it feels right - even though it’s still pretty new.”
Rihanna says, “That is completely incorrect. People quote me on things that I never said. That quote is not a real quote. It’s not right at all.”
