Jude Law helped kick off the month-long tour of Thula Sizwe: The Musical on Friday at the South Africa House in London, England.

Thula Siswe is an AIDS-themed musical written by God’s Golden Acre (GGA) founder Heather Reynolds (pictured) with Zulu tribal dancing, thundering drumming and blood-stirring songs.

The Young Zulu Warriors are a remarkable group of 18 boys and 10 girls, all teenagers, from Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa, who have been raised by GGA, a charity that cares for orphaned children and young people abandoned as a result of HIV/AIDS and violence. More Here! »

Jude Law joins fellow British actor Sir Michael Caine for dinner at posh venue Cipriani Restaurant on Tuesday in London, UK.

Law, 34, has has played Caine, 74, multiple times before. Law starred in the remake of the 1972 thriller, Sleuth, as an adulterous hairdresser opposite Michael Caine — who appeared in the original as the hairdresser.

Law also played another memorable Caine role as a womanizer in the 2004 remake of Alfie. Caine also reappeared in this film as the role of the jealous writer husband who entices his wife’s lover into a deadly mind game.

Jude Law and a new mystery woman enjoy a night out at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in central London on Monday night. (She doesn’t look his type with the lip, eyebrow, nose and multiple ear piercings.)

The pair checked out “the spectacular fountain Appearing Rooms by Danish artist Jeppe Hein. A hugely popular installation last summer, the water sculpture invites visitors of all ages to join in and become part of this playful work of art.”

Hey Jude! Where’s the party?

The 34-year-old Blueberry Nights star recently signed on to the futuristic adventure thriller Repossession Mambo with Oscar winner Forest Whitaker. The movie revolves around a repo man made up of artificial organs who, after receiving a heart transplant, struggles to make payments and must go on the run from his former partner.

Jude Law, a guest of Vodafone, was a first timer at the 2007 Formula One Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday in Monaco (he arrived by helicopter).

The British beauty said, “I know Monaco pretty well under normal conditions - meaning without Formula One - but hey, this is the real thing. Being on the grid and seeing those 22 guys waiting to start their engines - what an experience! Should I be in England when the British Grand Prix is on, I will be there.”

He was accompanied by Angelina Jolie’s ex-hubby Jonny Lee Miller. Jude and Johnny lived near each other in Primrose Hill, London back in the day. They also had formed Natural Nylon, a British film production company, back in 1997 but it folded a few years later.

Jude Law enjoys the Cannes Film Festival festivities on Friday in France at the In the Hands of Gods Nike Party. He and co-star Norah Jones open the festival with the Wong Kar Wai-directed romantic confection My Blueberry Nights.

Excerpt from the NYT: “My Blueberry Nights may strike [Wong Kar Wai] devotees, and skeptics as well, as both a notable departure and a variation on his characteristic themes. He is still interested in the mysterious nature of desire and the effects of time and distance upon it. But the setting, the language and the conventions of English-language screen acting give this movie, for better or worse, a decided air of novelty.” More Here! »

Ray-Ban Wayfarers — is there any other way?

Jude Law and Norah Jones glam up at the premiere of their Wong Kar Wai-directed film My Blueberry Nights at the Cannes Film Festival Opening Night on Wednesday.

Law, 34, and Jones, 28, share quite the lingering on-screen kiss that has some critics in a tizzy. Variety reports, “Of one particularly intimate scene, a kiss between Jones and Jude Law that required multiple takes and different camera setups, [cinematographer Darius] Khondji says he could feel Wong “carving it and molding it like a sculpture.”

Jones on the sexy smooch: “The kiss was the moment that Kar Wai had the most direction about. He was so excited when we did that scene. He knew exactly what he wanted and we shot it for a long time.”

Law added, “He was very clear that this tiny moment in these two people’s lives was also a turning point. It struck me that we tend to make films that are about huge moments, years, in everyone’s lives. But lives change in a moment. It was clear that when we filmed the kiss it was a moment that was going to change their lives.”

Jude Law opens the 60th Cannes Film Festival Wednesday with the New York-California road trip tale directed by Wong Kar Wai. This film will mark the acting debut of Norah Jones. Co-stars Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz did not make it to the kick-off.

“I remember the first take we did, my voice was really [squeaks] high,” Norah told The Associated Press. “I was just terribly nervous, and Kar-wai came over and patted me on the back and I relaxed a little.”

Kar-Wai was impressed with Norah’s acting abilities: “We rolled the camera and she cried, and after that I said, ‘well, it’s great,’ and she said, ‘do you want one more?’”
